James Blake and smoking hotttt Heather Mitts are dating.

I was trying to learn more about a possible problem with CBS sports in their coverage of the US Open and stumbled upon numerous reports (including one from ESPN, the sports network) that tennis star James Blake is dating soccer (football if overseas) star Heather Mitts.

Blake is the sixth highest rated mens tennis player in the world. Mitts, like Blake, is a tremendous athlete in her own right. She is a star defender and was the key part of the US Women's Olympic soccer team that won a gold medal in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

They are one very hotttt couple. While I have no interest in how handsome Blake may be (I'll leave that to the ladies to post links or pics if they wish), here are plenty of links of Smitts:

I don't know about the higher testosterone theory, but I suppose that could be a reason that I've never dated "jockettes", I love a womanly figure too much.

 

Well, to be honest, no one is truly "interracial" as, under the skin, White people share the same DNA as Black people, anyway.

But, in terms of America, they would be considered "interracial" as anyone with even a little Black blood is considered Black in the stupid States, no matter how White they may look.

If you're like me, you see the whole insanity of this. There are no "Black" or "White" people (certainly not Red people...hence the horrible reference to Native Americans in past centuries: "Redskins"). The whole thing is one big lie put forth by stupid, small minded people in the 1700s and 1800s.

Everyone is African under the skin. So, you are right. There's nothing "interracial" about James Blake and Heather Mitts.

Then again, there is nothing interracial about any Black man and White woman. In fact, the two of them can be more related to each other than their respective ethnic groups (a shared African ancestory from 10,000 years ago, or depending upon how each persons DNA shakes out after all these years).

There are no races, just Black people in different hues (scientifically speaking). Every scientific study (which are really ancient paternity tests) from everywhere in the world tells us this.

If you truly find someone of another race, take that person to NASA. Cause you've found a space alien.

 

It isn't quite yet proven we all come from Africa, just the leading canadate. Also, Black isn't a base skin color. If we evloved in Sweden, we'd be talking about us all being Nordic :lol: .

Anyway, I mean, I'm a good example. My mom was extremely white and my dad sorta light skinned, so I could be Latino/Muslim/Jewish/Italian/North African etc....It's only when I get nappy hair people say "hmmmmmm....."

Excellent point, Briar. However, I'd take it a step further.

I wish that people could face people of mixed ancestry for what they are and stop hiding from it, too (but not "Whites and Blacks"...only describing people by their skin pigmentation), but as people of European and African descent.

I wonder how long any one of us would have lived if Marc Anthony heard us describe Cleopatra as a "Black woman?"

African? Yes. Egyptian? Yes. Queen? Yes. Black??? In her day, the Romans would have nailed any one of us to a cross and hung you upside down for a week. And, that would have been kind.

Remember, we called the Cherokee "Redskins." Somehow, I don't think our Maker finds this description to His liking. When you die, be sure to leave that word behind.

That's not exactly the truth anymore.

I'll explain it this way. The real reason you know that your dad is your dad is because he told you so. What the scientific community has done is taken your DNA and mapped it...mapped it for every single ethnic group in the world.

You mentioned that you are "Latino/Muslim/Jewish/Italian/North African etc"...This is tough one for people (ESP. AMERICANS) to deal with.

Briar, all of the scientists from the ethnicities you mentioned, despite studying in different ways and different parts of the world, all say exactly the same thing: Under you skin, you are as "Black" African as Nelson Mandela.

Not just you, EVERYONE is. All this color deal was just a ton of BS. You can believe it now or wait till you pass on...does not matter to me.

Here is an example. The best Western genetecist, Dr. Spencer Wells, from Stanford Univ. and Oxford Univ., did his own mapping of our common ancestry.

Here is what he says (and his beliefs are shared by 90% of scientists, other than some of those in the deep South in the U.S. perhaps):

Princeton Univ Questioner: "If we all came from a black man, how did men and women of different colors come into being?"

Dr. Wells: "The accepted explanation for skin color differences is that we first evolved in a tropical region, in Africa. The tropical sun is quite strong, so the skin needed the protection provided by the natural sunscreen, melanin, which makes skin dark. When we started moving into the Northern Hemisphere 40,000 years ago, the sun was not as strong. Anyone who's been to London in February can tell you that! And because the sun helps us to synthesize Vitamin D, which we need to grow strong bones, we had to lose some of our pigmentation to allow enough sunlight through."

Princeton Univ Questioner: So what do our genes tell us about the biological differences between, say, Europeans and Africans?

Dr. Wells "They are literally only skin deep. We are all African cousins separated by - at most - 2,000 generations."

Princeton Univ Questioner: How do other scientists and the public react to your research?

Dr. Wells :"In general, there is more and more agreement among paleoanthropologists, archaeologists, geneticists and historians about the details of our past. I suppose one thing that some people still find hard to accept is that we left Africa so recently, and blitzed our way around the world, but it does seem to have happened like that. I urge them to read the book, where I discuss the archaeological, linguistic and climatological clues that fill in the details of our journey. It is a synthetic look at the past, not simply a genetic tale."

Briar, again, if you went to Israel to find an Israeli genetecist, he'd tell you EXACTLY the same thing....maybe with a slightly different timeframe.

But, it's REAL, REAL tough for people to accept or wrap their brains around!
