Her problem was that she ran. She should have stayed on the attack.

As a pacifist I say that violence is never the answer, just look at the world to see that. That being said, beat a bitch down if she lays a finger on you

Sean Connery once said in an interview in Playboy that if a woman is acting irrational and behaving badly, she should have a slap across the face. This statement did not go very well with women. When he won Best Supporting Actor for his role as Jim Malone in The Untouchables, that interview resurfaced after he was voted People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. But, Sean was Sean.
The scene in the film Romeo Must Die where Jet Li and Alliyah face a female combatant, Jet says he can't fight a woman. Alliyah's character says,"If a woman is about to kick your ass, there's no time to be a gentleman." So, Jet and Alliyah fight the woman together. If a woman intended to harm me, I will use the neccessary force to subdue her.

If you push a man beyond reasonable limits (remember the bus driver who hit the woman? Not saying he should've uppercut her, but she deserved to be smacked) or he is hit by a woman first, I can't really fault him. If he can still restrain himself, I believe he should. It doesn't give him license to hit her. But if he's beyond reason, well, she likely asked for it.

Never and always are words I tend to steer clear of. Very few things in this world are absolute.

    subdue but not knock out....

my daughters mom got mad about something redonkulous once and started punching me and i just stood there laughing cause her punches weren't doing anything to me. did i hit her back? no, im too damn big to be hitting a woman even if she gave me a reason to hit her. i did grab her by the shoulders and hold her down telling her to calm down before going on a long drive by myself.

sure there are reasons to hit a woman, but that doesnt mean it should be done. no matter the case.

That's horrible! You do NOT beat a woman down for that. This thinking gives license for men to go nuts and beat the shit out of her cause she pushed him or some silly shit.

Beautifully said! :smt023 You get it! What you do MAKES SENSE!

You know you can kill her bare-fisted, but you don't, instead you subdue her, because you can.
Mad props Big D...you need to school a cpl of these fist ready brawlers in here.

You know what, I was watching a show on CNBC called American Greed. The show is all about scam artists and schemers. When they show the devastation to peoples lives that those crooks do. I remember thinking to myself, if someone did that to me and I caught them, I wouldn't be able to hold myself back. And if that person happened to be a women............I don't know if my chivalry could overcome my rage.

As for kids, well, I don't have any. But it goes without saying that it would be a huge mistake to hurt anyone I love.

Now imagine the shit that goes on behind closed doors. This thread once again, extremely disingenuous.

The amount of beatings and deaths women incur world-wide at the hands of men and in particular men who CLAIM to love them, is effing atrocious and on the rise.

Is there a one size that fits all approach, there are many kinds of women character, personality wise.

Some women have a serious lack of class and do not behave like ladies in the sense of how they conduct themselves.

I have always said I don't care if you are a man or a woman, nothing gives you the right to put your hands on another human being. But we know it happens in the real world.

In this era of equality between the sexes. My belief is you keep your hands to yourself and I will keep mine to myself.

Violence against women is not a trivial issue and men who do it should rightfully be treated as the pariah's they are.

In the same vein I never understood the notion that any woman should have a right to put her hands on a man just because she cannot control herself and as a man he should just have to accept it, where is the equality in that.

No one should have to tolerate being hit because of their sex, be it whether you are a man or a woman.

I'm chivalrous to women who carry themselves with respect, respect yourself to know right from wrong in how you deal with others.
