Pistacchios for me. If I start eating them, I have to pry myself away before I eat all of them. LOL.

Tarshi. I don't know if you have Mrs Flannery's down there, but they have this really great Andean grain mix. It's red and white quinoa, amaranth and something else I can never remember. I boil it up as you would quinoa and it's delicious!

I'd add brussel sprouts to your list :) Yes, I know that's weird.
Also, mealie meal and eggs. Perhaps millet.

I just had to google Mrs Flannery's...its only in QLD...!!! That grain mix sounds great, going to see if I can order it online.

Yes brussels and eggs for sure...haven't tried the mealie meal though, may see if my local health store stocks it & give it a go.

must add polenta to the list as well

Tarsh, I am familiar with corn grits, but what are soya grits, and what the heck is aloo palak, sounds like an exotic island somewhere, not food:p

ahhhh Loki, the mighty soya grit is soybean dehulled and i use it as a substitute for meat in sauces and love it in soups etc., its very nutty in taste.

lol...aloo palak is an Indian dish made with spinach and potatoes...and it is very exotic :p
