Pardon the interruption, but there are thousands of civilians being slaughtered for their faith, and the world is sitting on their hands?

Charlie Hebdo gets world-wide attention, but not Nigeria? What the hell?

The Govt seems to be talking out both sides. Claims to dennounce it, but then tells the world they can handle Boko Haram.

How are they "handling " their psychotic leader so far?

    - One witness says terrorists shot and killed a woman who was in labour

    - Estimated 2,500 people killed, and more than 3,700 structures were razed

    - Extremist group, Boko Haram, decimated towns of Baga and Doron Baga

    - One of the towns 'nearly wiped off the map', says Amnesty International

    - Survivors describe fleeing over dead bodies of people 'killed like insects'

Doubt this thread gets off page one unless you can implicate a white guy somewhere....somehow.... :p

It's like calling attention to inner city mayhem only to get told to fuck off

I think we should find out why the Nigerian army has not been able to stop the terrorists, so we can give them the needed support to kick ass. Simple

Looking at the big picture however... the world is staying out of this.

    Is it being PC?
    Does Nigeria have no oil?
    Are these people expendable?
Is the world too busy to care or get involved?
Does the EU believe Nigeria's President will TCB?
    What is it?

The second link says the President has told Nigerians who have fled...'it's ok, come back home.'

Most likely a typical lie from a politician who needs everyone to think he is in control. Hopefully he would be willing to admit there is a serious problem in his country (behind closed doors) to those that could help.

Ok. So the idea is to protest armed terrorists, instead of killing them?

Is that the idea? Protesting armed terrorists instead of killing them?

Oh gosh no... definitely kill them. In particular, Abubakar Shekau, the snake's head.

I just think people... don't know. It wasnt on any of the NIGHTLY NEWS shows last night. I watched. It's baffling. It can't just be because it's occurring in Africa..l dont know what to think.
I think how would we feel if this happened to us.. if.we were helpless..mercilessly being slaughtered, raped....and the world didn't come help us. Silence. Its unconscionable.

Like I wrote in another thread...I think many people are conditioned to believe that africa is a hopeless shithole, where warlord run amok and high bodycounts are as common as running water in the states

The France attacks have absolutely nothing on what's happening in africa right now, yet all you see is charlie hedbo this, charlie hedbo that

Websites that focus on the black community have picked up on this and are trying to rally media and political support...but everyone else is like whatever

I do stand by my belief that if this were a white on black thing, you'd see a TON of coverage and flaming internet boards

    Racism is very good business

When it appears that the radicals are about to seize power then they will get Lit the hell up. That's just how it goes. If you threaten the interests of the rich and powerful, then you better get ready for showdown.

I think youre nailing it here.
And Beasty feeling that when it affect outside interests is when anyone will intervene. Fn depressing.
I was reading up on the snake and he has a serious blood lust. He said he enjoys killing people like he does chickens and rams
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...Harem-jihadi-s-overseen-slaughter-16-000.html

He speaks 4 languages, he has ordered 16,000 killed, he admits he sells girls as sex slaves.
    .
This is the same demonic mind as Hitler, Stalin, Idi Amin, Osama Bin Laden, Sadam, the Janjaweed, etc.. Shehau and Boko.H need to be dealt with before they become as deadly as those monsters.

The body count is absolutely ridiculous

To be fair the US has a command in Africa along with troops and all, so it's not like they're completely turning a blind eye. They can't do it alone tho and it would be nice if we seen more worldwide support for africa

I guess when there's nothing to exploit or colonize, they don't care

Nice twitter feed...where's the tweets relating to boko haram :p

Oh wait...found one that led to this link

It has nothing to do with that. Who were the white people involved in the Sudanese genocide or Rwanda?
The reason it's not getting coverage is because the France thing happened at the same time. I guarantee even if it were whites who did it you wouldn't hear about. Did anyone cover the half million Iraqi civilians slaughtered during the war? Nope
