if we ever become the majority, do you think we would be any fairer?

probably not, sadly, because you people can't seem to realize that two wrongs don't make a right

    kat's hot. just saying.. ;)
.. i've only seen the show once, but I scarcely watch sitcoms nowadays.. the one I saw, none of the ethnic characters were there.. kat was wearing a run-dmc t-shirt for most of the episode.. :smt080 also there was a horse hanging around an apartment for the episode, and some punchlines, delivered at separate intervals that were a little surprising.. "I was masturbating"..
    "I'm a punk-azz ho"..
... clearly, this is a different kind of show..

Why is it that I don't get so offended by stereotyping humor? Is it because I don't have as much sand in my vagina as the rest of y'all drama kings?

so you wouldn't be offended by those australians in big fake lips and blackface, acting like the blacks they see on TV?

or maybe you'd like to get invited to one of those hip college parties, where the theme of the night is Black Pride.

Everything should be taken in context.

Were you offended when Robert Downey played a black man in Tropic Thunder?

When was the last time you saw a white comedian make "Look at all the black people in the crowd" comments? When was the last time you saw a black comedian NOT make those comments toward white people?

While I agree with your logic its important to note you're correct but not right. This country and many others have a long history of using minority groups in satire and jokingly before they pushing them into an outside group which later they oppress whether directly or indirectly. The unfortunate thing about this country especially is you can't make jokes without most dumb asses really believing its true. So if you make a joke about black people being from the hood a huge chunk of society believes black people are from the hood and speak in" ghetto" vernacular. The amount of times I've had to correct people in my own life sometimes boggles my mind. You know how many times I had let people know I didn't live in the projects?
    So I get the trepidation.

Do you know what a challenge you're in for if you're trying to teach dumb asses not to be dumb?

I get what you're saying, and generally speaking white people (especially in America) very rarely, if ever have to deal with oppression or discrimination as blacks and other minority groups do. So yes, when a show portrays a black person as uneducated and / or ghetto, there is a chance that some 'dumb ass' will see it and accept it.... but who cares? There are plenty of people who are capable of rational thought that realize that blacks aren't all born with spears in hand. You'll be a lot better off when you stop worrying about what people in general, and especially dumb asses think.

Agreed but the problem is the dumb asses are the ones who usually have the discretion to make my life a lot more difficult so I can't help but more concerned. I remember once telling a story about a friend, a really cute blonde I use to hook up with, and her getting pulled over on the Henry Hudson for drunk driving and the officer on duty called me on my cell phone to come get her before he had to take her in. I get there she is barely standing up drunk and dude is making all kinds of excuses for her because she reminds him of his daughter. Keep in mind she was 27 not some dumb teen, he had sympathy because he didn't want her to lose her social work license.
Now had that been me or you because of the way we are portrayed in the media there would have been a hugely different story.

or maybe it's because you are so used to being an apologist that it has become second nature. you want stick your head in the sand fine, but don't criiticise others who actually have self respect.
