Is New Orleans French Quarter Curfew Racist???

    im planning a trip to new orleans actually

    been doing tons of research as of late

    growing up in philly tho, big cities arent a problem for me

    although i have came across some areas to avoid......cant remember if french quarter was one of them...

    Inner Harbor in Baltimore has something similar to this. Children have no business being there near and after midnight.

    when i see kids of any race out around here at 1 or 2 am, i get cautious if im walkin around alone

    I don't live in NOLA...but, many of the Afr-Am residents feel this law targets young, low-income Black males....

    Well of course they would...even if it's not true. That's the part that bugs me to no end!!!

    Do the residents think tourists have never seen young, black people that they have to be kept out of sight?? Imo, the only way this would be racially motivated is if the powers that be came out and said so, or if black kids were singled out while other kids were allowed in the area.

    People look for trouble sometimes, where there is none.
