:smt058 While Karma is clearly a man with a keen intellect, he needn't be miserable. He brings happiness to others, and should be rewarded in kind. If Karma were to start accepting applications for his fan club, he would have no shortage of applicants.

Actually I came thru my miserable phase a long time ago but thank you for the sweet response. Still can't be as happy as these dummies, though, ha ha.

    Lol

even dirt serves a purpose in life

    don't be hatin'

besides, sometimes all a man needs is someone to love and raise a family with.

Her support will help keep him strong in life

plus, as mentioned before in other threads, intelligence and education does not necessarily give you a better disposition towards relationships

that is a very good statement. I would love the whole package .... a woman with the intellect of condi rice, the looks of hiedi klum and the body of pamela anderson and the compassion of mother theresa.

If i just had to settle I would settle for the compassionate trait of mother theresa.

Unfortunately we as humans haven't gotten to a place where a person like that can exist

Like what? Someone who could love a woman who wasn't what most would consider attractive?

Oh no that's very possible. I'm talking about a person who encompasses the best physical mental and spirtual companents that people have to offer. It would cause too much conflict. I think being really pretty keeps you from being able to relate to most people not to mention the prettier the girl less likely she's Former Secretary of State Rice smart. It all comes down to biological imperative and for women the need to work hard is less when you're extremely hot because people just give you things.

That's also a feature of upbringing. Raise a beautiful child to believe their beauty entitles them to special treatment and you will likely get a spoiled, lazy, arrogant child. Raise a beautiful child to believe they are no better or worse than anyone else and that it's what's on the inside that counts, you get a humble, hard-working child. It's not that pretty people aren't intelligent, it's that they don't need to be to get by, as you stated people either don't expect as much from them, or they get special treatment because of their beauty. Case in point, be forewarned this will seem like bragging but is actually merely me stating fact, my daughter is almost 18, and she is what almost everyone would consider beautiful, she is also a 4.0 student who finished high school a year early and started college her Junior year of high school to get a headstart on her post-secondary school education. Now though I have always stressed the importance of an education and scholastic achievement, I never pushed her like my parents pushed me, and yet she is absolutely driven from within and holds herself to a very strict standard of near perfection. She is also completely lacking in vanity, extremely compassionate, and very level-headed. Never once in her life did I allow anyone to tell her that she could just skate by on looks, nor was she constantly fawned over for being pretty. Treating a child like that does them a huge disservice IMO. You want a well-rounded kid, you raise them to understand that while they are special to you, they aren't to the entire rest of the world, and they shouldn't expect anything to be handed to them. No one owes you anything, you want something you'd best plan to work for it.

I commend you for instilling that in her but let's be real she is definitely the exception not the rule. I wish more people had that type of mind set but being in the world has taught me that the shallow and superficial usually get what they want and rarely earn it.

So find more exceptions and spend less time with the rules.

most of the times simple is best.

warren buffett was talking about derivatives and he stated " I dont understand them so I dont do it"

sometimes you need to analyze something and if it is way over your head then maybe u need to stay away from it. at the sametime you should get out of ur comfort zone and try something new.

She's too cliche. Dizzy blonde with black athlete. Zzzzz. Plus the Playboy thing. Can't turn a ho into a housewife is my motto.

by what definition is she a ho? I didn't know that flaunting good looks and sleeping with an old geezer, was enough to classify a woman as a whore. I thought that designation actually came from sleeping with a ton of partners.
