Is it just me or a lot of women missing?

Yes you are. If she fits the demographic that you are putting down and ridiculing then you are saying her. As much as if someone said a dark skinned black man, or a black man from New York or a man of Jamaican heritage. If someone degrades as a whole "your people" they mean you.

Maybe it's time to concede not everyone fits a mold or stereotype. There are beautiful exceptions but you have it ingrained in your head things are one way. Black and white..and people laugh at Mikey having no gray area.

 

I cannot remember one thread and the other I know that the comment was deleted. I will not mention the ladies name either. You will just have to trust that I wouldn't make that up.

 

You personally have been on this forum long enough to have seen me not only compliment and flirt with people beyond 30 and even that is my opinion/perception. So what?
The problem usually comes about when you or others feel the need to challenge me and get upset when I ultimately sway to your side of thinking. I'm still growing, we all are and who/what I choose to be right now will not always be constant. I have the freedom to change my mind but stop trying to make me change my mind. It saves a lot of aggrivation all parties involved.

 

I know you well enough to know you wouldn't make something like that up but what I noticed is that there are certain hot button topics that can't be debated on any level. Which I guess I can understand especially since I'm not the one who went through it but it makes discussion pointless so why even bring it up at all.

Why do you insult or become involved with who you are not attracted? Just keep moving. In effect you insult those who would be attracted to say.....unique, since she is topic du jour, when you go out of your way to post negative about what you don't like but they do. If you don't like fine. No need to post just to be negative. Post about what you know and what you like. The negative atmosphere will be toned down. For example we will assume if you don't post in the Crystal Bottoms thread, that you dig her..........that you don't dig her. No need to be childish and pour gas on Crystal's fire. Get it?? Don't go to the negative and the atmosphere won't reek of it.

You are not growing as in .....I am a kid. You are thirty. Own it......most people don't get to be that age and try to excuse themself by saying that. You should be considered a man now. Not a child.

Hey, very nice to see you posting and sharing your opinion. I know it's difficult to get involved into sensitive topics when English isn't your first language. Me, at least I have that problem.

I assume it's clear, why so many members stopped communicating. If you don't want to fight for every single opinion or that you are a woman, or how old you are or what happened to you in the past, you have to turn around and leave. What else can one do?

If everybody would say everything, regardless of how much it hurts your neighbour, friend or colleague, Boss -we would have a war around the world.
Here, on the forum, it will just get empty..

BTW- I know that some men think being rude, insensitive and reckless is a sign of a strong character, an alpha male, but how attractive do you think is a man, when women are running away from him?

There are some women out there who like to be treated like s**t but I assume the majority doesnt appreciate it.

 

What's interesting is you didn't see the passive aggression in her post. She all but called me out by name in her admonishment of the "alpha male".
I'm actually a really nice guy I just refuse to bend to conform to some fake phony concept of pleasantries.

I think what Christine was trying to say is this: dont mistake being respectful and negotiating for being WEAK.

It seems that some men fear they could be seen as weak if they dont "destroy" their opponent.
I have huge respect for people who can bring their point across in an arguement without "losing it".

Its not a matter of being perceived as weak. I am pretty secure in who I am. I admit when I am impassioned by a certain topic I do tend to go over board but even the slightest disagreement can be seen as disrespectful on here especially when it comes to me and some of the female posters. They're almost looking for it so they can have an excuse to be out right pissed about something, but as I said earlier I'm retired from debating since it can either lead to an argument or people playing nice. I've yet to see anyone swayed on anything.
