While I don't discount articles written by a woman on how to get a man, I tend to take that advice more seriously when it actually comes from a man. If she's describing what qualities to look for, that's a different story.

What's wrong with seeking advice on major life decisions? Sure I know guys are supposed to guides and such but nothing wrong with seeking advice IMO. Others are decent indications of a good man but I mean some people look at different qualities.

 

I agree, Blackbrah. I stumbled a little when I read this one. I especially appreciate a man who seeks guidance through prayer.

 

My stepdad once said the best thing a man can do in life is find a smart woman, marry her and then LISTEN to her advice.

I think it's a good idea for everyone to be willing to solicit information and advice. We can't all know everything.

 

I agree to an extent.... I am definitely attracted to smart and opinionated women, but nothing turns me off more than a domineering know-it-all. I will never be made to feel that someone must make my decisions for me. I'd rather someone that I can have productive discussions and make decisions with.

I've come this far in my life, majorly making decisions for and by myself. I definitely don't need someone to come in and 'make better decisions for me'.

 

Back to the article, I don't toot my own horn very often, but I have no problem with saying that I meet every single one of those traits... yet I'm single as hell.

My stepdad is an old fashioned Yankee guy, so he's not into having people make decisions for him. But he's smart enough to listen to smart, strong, opinionated women and take their advice into consideration.

 

Hell no. Dick size is a nice attribute to have, like nice arms or legs, but it's absolutely nothing which would slow me down in the least if all the other things I wanted were there.
