IR scene in MD

I'm not really new to this site I just come on here and read what every one has to say but never post. But does anyone know any cool place for meeting WW in Maryland?

 

Frederick MD and Waldorf are your spots my man.

 

Depends on what you are looking for. The white women in Waldorf and Fredrick are mostly the youngsters if not they probrably have 2 or 3 kids already! You can find them where ever you look, seems like. White women in Maryland in general are very receptive to black men. I think it becomes a question of if you are just trying to hit it or you are looking for a relationship, eitherway, set your eyes on the prize and go for it, you have everything to gain and nothing to loose! You will find the whitewomen in the more rural settings tend to try to talk hiphop and black slang. I personally find it irritating as hell! All black guys including myself don't talk stupid...you know like...." You feel me", " My dog" "My N'word" "...It's all stupid to me and somewhat degrading. If I want a whitwomen, I want her to be WHITE, talk white act white look white. If I wanted my whitegirl to be black....I'd get a balck girl! [/i]

Do you think that the words--like, totally, awesome, cool, hot and etc... are acceptable slang when they are also--"talking stupid" words? As a WW, I hear a lot of other young White men and women use the "Valley Girl or Boy" speak. They do not use standard American English most of the time. It is like they can't finish their like sentences like....etc.. etc...--just an example. Sometimes, I even do it. Also, is it your experience that most BW "talk stupid"? Do you sometimes use slang periodically if not all the time? I say, to each their own, I think every culture has their own special way of speaking and it is neither good or bad, but just different. However, I do believe neither the ebonics or the "valley" talk is acceptable in the world of work. It is more suitable around friends and family. Also, I do agree I am not fond of White people using Black slang to fit in--they should just be themselves. I have quite a few Black friends where we discussed this issue. Like you, both my BM and BW friends do not like Whites to use Black slang to fit in. They feel they are being stereotyped and insulted at the same time. I speak regular standard English with a few "valley" words and they are o.k. with it b/c I am myself and not trying to be like anyone else.

 

I agree. I visit the MD-DC-VA metro area a lot and there is a lot of IR going on there. You can see it in the malls, in shops, at work, the airports; name it. I think it's down to the fact that that side of the country is somewhat progressive than the rest.

I do not agree with some of your expository terms, but i agree with the general idea. I've lived in NYC and Miami, two cities with the most annoying members of the subcultural group known as "wiggas". I live in South Beach, and when me and my boys are out in clubs and stuff, it isn't uncommon to see whitebread, suburban, white chicks trying to "holla" and be "with it", much to my chagrin. Nothing gets more on my nerves than a white person who never has met me thinking i'm some brash ghetto thug. I find it disturbingly condescending and unintentionally racist. I don't mind using urban (read: black) slang; the context is what pisses me off. If i want a girl from the ghetto, i'd get me one.

 

Anywhere. Just have confidence and class.

Be careful with Waldorf, MD, sure there are affluent black people living in the area also are white folks who resent them. Try Montgomery County, Annapolis, or even Washington, DC or Virginia be sure not to meet the "white trash" which some black men settle for.

 

Agreed. I really like Montgomery County as a whole. Silver Spring is perhaps the most diverse part of Maryland state. You'd find some nice girls generally, not just white.

You need to meet at social events in the Washington, DC area that attracts professional white women and not the ones that like to date thugs and gangsters.

Try Columbia it's a great place to meet educated, classy WW. I remember I met a very nice WW at a Seal concert in Columbia a few summer ago.

 

I was wondering where there a decent clubs to go to where there is a decent scene. I have seen in Maryland that it can quite polarized (definitely in DC) and I was hoping someone can give me some advice to tell if a ww is in to you or not because most of the time. I unfortunately see too late that they are not or they have a bias about you from the start.

Because I live in Waldorf and there are like ZERO hangout spots in this city... All it seems like there is is shopping centers, businesses and stuff like that... Not really places a lot of place to hang out at! LOL so where do you go in Waldorf thats IR??? Thank you!

 

Courtney you would probably have to hit some spots in D.C to be honest. Bowie is a tad bit on the boring side.

 

oh goody... DC! Lol did I mention that I'm very petite, 5'0, and 100 lbs (103 at most)??? I can't go with my girlfriends, they wouldn't be much protection (though I love them dearly) I've been to DC for doctors appointments during the day with my mom, and I was uneasy at certain times. And I should say I sometimes tend to have bad luck streaks. I'm afraid I'll get kidnapped partly cuz my mom watches the news and sees all these teenage girls kidnapped , and partly just my own paranoia haha

You could go with me.... If you want to, that is... :wink: I wouldn't mind!
