I am REALLY REALLY interested in seeing this. Although it looks alot more like some TV special than an actual "movie". Is this coming on TV or online or in the theaters or what? Im confused.
I'm always sceptical when I hear about this kind of "reports". They are never unbiased and I don't think that it's really necessary to broadcast the hangups and biases people have with other "races". I am longing for the day when IR is so normal that it will not increase any audience rating anymore.
I think it will depend on how they edit it. Looking at this preview, that "movie/film" can go either way. Pro IR or anti-IR. Letting people repeat the same old stereotypes without some thoughtful and intelligent protagonist, will make the people in IR relationships look bad. I'm sure I'll watch it if it's free because I don't want to give my money to anti-IRs if I can help it. If I hear that it's pro IR, I'll be there with money in hand.... Good find Ron.
Looking at that trailer I am a bit skeptical of it not once again exposing those black women who oppose bm&ww dating. They only showed black women opposed to other bw. Hopefully Im wrong and they will show what oprah, mtv, etc. refuse to show and that is there are still some bw out there that hate on bm&ww IR dating, because from that clip they seem to be still hung up on white men only opposed to it.
Damn! Did you guys see that fine white girl with that black guy? I gotta get me one that looks like that...
I see controversy in the making with this film. Hopefully, this isn't just a cash cow film for some greedy Hollywood flimmakers looking to make headlines, and more than likely, we will see more of the negative dynamics of IR in this movie than the positives. That's usually how it all works, isn't it?
Yes, and I agree with some of the assessments about the film made by some of the posters in that link's message board.
But it says "THIS WINTER 2007" it seems like if its this winter it would be 2006, no? something is fishy here
The Winter season's beginning through to its end spans both years. It starts (technically, though not physically) in Dec. '06 and ends March '07.
