I thought this was supposed to be on HBO? What happened with that?

It would be nice if someone could upload this DVD somewhere so we can all have a look at it.

That's some really powerful stuff, man. I would love to own this DVD. Although whaqt I find weird is that, seriously, I have never had to deal with a lot of negativity in any of my interracial relationships. I mean, of course there have been nasty looks from White men and Black women, and I know that co-workers have changed their attitude towards me after finding out my wife is White...but never on the level that pop culture seems to keep representing.

Have any of you had really overt problems with people b/c you were with a White woman or BM?

Overt problems not really although once several years ago this lady I knew for church who happened to work where I worked at around that time had seen me at the mall with a friend. Well the next day at work she goes to me that I need to be with a black girl. I was steaming!!! I haven't talked to her since and don't plan on it.

Not really but it generally annoys me when people get in your business and tell you who you NEED to be with, where you NEED to live/work, when you NEED to have kids, etc. I think even etiquette books mention that you don't stick your nose in other people's private lives or family lives, but it happens all the time. In my case comments come from men and women equally, I just tune it out... One Puerto Rican girl at my job told me that my husband probably didn't marry me for love, becuause SHE'S NEVER SEEN a Russian African marriage that's based on love. She herself is married to a man who is mixed (black and Italian  )

I woulda slapped that girl if I were you for even making such a comment saying your husband didn't marry you for love.

    The epitome of HYPOCRISY....

As well as APPALLINGLY UNMITIGATED STUPIDITY.... :x

Makes one kinda sorta mebbe wonder what HER game is in re: HER interracial marriage? :?

I'll bet the powers-that-be thought it was, even in this ALLEGEDLY "MORE ENLIGHTENED AND SOPHISTICATED 21ST CENTURY".... .... decided to put the kibosh on it all because of the subject matter.....even if they ran it in the wee small hours of the VERY early morning (i.e. 0200/2:00 A.M. or whatever..)

Never fear, YouTube is now here...

I'll bet SOME enterprising soul/Good Samaritan WILL come to OUR rescue in regards to THAT, yes???

    STAY TUNED!

The remembrances espoused here kinda reminds me of those BIGOT CHICKENSHITS at the local (Cleveland) CBS affilliate - WJW, TV-8, I think they were - who, back in the late 1970's actually PRE-EMPTED from its INITIAL broadcast a telefilm drama called "BEHIND THE BADGE", which starred a certain Gridiron Superstar named "O.J." and The Much regretted ELIZABETH "BEWITCHED" MONTGOMERY as interracial detective partners who have an affair with each other....much to the dismay of the department and his wife and kids...

They made some kinda excuse for not airing it...

Though they DID air it about a month or so later.....

    Hypocritical bastards....

As far as the ONE overt incident in MY space of existence was concerned......A Black female former co-worker first asked of me : "Why do you go to Sweden to date this girl? 'Caws you're BLACK.....and you're ALWAYS gonna be BLACK...I mean, use your fuckin' head.."

And not long after, she met another interracially involved Black fella who was also an art student...he brought his portfolio to the job most of the time, and she noticed it.... She "promised" to make him a "peanut butter and jelly sandwich" one day.

One day, as he left the floor for his half-hour linch break, she produced a jar of peanut butter and a jar of jelly....and proceeded to drop them into his portfolio and smash up the jars inside with all his artwork therein....and split.....

By the way, this Black female individual with SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much HATRED in her heart .. was allegedly taking university classes to be....get ready for this....a A REGISTERED NURSE!!!!!

    Pretty FUCKED UP, IMO.....

I'd love to see this joint.

As far as "incidents" go, there have been so many of them that i cannot even remember them all. With whites (males especially), it's mostly rude looks and comments behind my back (because i'd smash someone's face), and with black women, many have even asked me things like, "Why are you with Barbie instead of a real woman"?

Honestly, i've been through all of that but don't even want to recall events of the past.

I'm still here. It's funny you should mention Siberia because lately I've been reading different Siberian scientific periodicals about ecology and stuff (in Russian of course). I never knew there have been remains of dinasaurs found in Siberia! Way more exciting than all the political articles I'm used to reading...

Yea, when we talked about this flick back in the fall, the drop date on HBO was suppose to be 2/14. I had been looking for it, but never saw anything. I guess as this latest clip says...too controversial...it went straight to DVD.

Well,it is a first on HBO's part. They shown everything including gay relationships. I will going to buy that DVD since it will never be in a Wal-Mart store.
