Coconut oil is one of the staples of Paleo eating. I melt it and drizzle it over frozen fruit when I don't have any coconut butter.

 

i read that, too. but do you have the feeling that its actually better then other oils, like canola or nutoils?

 

Definitely better than canola. I only use coconut oil, olive oil and butter when I cook. If the coconut oil tastes coconut-y enough, I've been known to just eat a teaspoon here and there.
