Intellect in a relationship

    It sounded (to me) as if you want your SO to be interested/take part in those things you're interested in, but you don't wish to be a part of the things she's interested in.

    I usually have the problem that at first a guy is verbally and otherwise affectionate and then for whatever reason that dies off.

    Never knew this to be true but I had a guy tell me the same thing a few days ago. He likes that I have him beat on a few topics and that I can at least match him on a few others. With that said, I'm a better listener than talker so I love to be able to learn from my partner! ;)

    i would like him to know some stuff. taking a bunch of ap courses has really helped me and reading more books. most of my male friends dont even know half of the things i know

    Seldom does anyone teach me anything, but I think it would be great to have someone equally teaching me as much as I teach her. That'd be intriguing.
