I wanted to recognise and appreciate those men out there who selflessly give of themselves to those in need. The first man who comes to mind for me is Australian footballer Harry O'Brien.

Harry O’Brien, born Heritier Deserbelles Lusevy Lumumba, is one of the Australian Football League’s most recognised players. At just 26 years old, he is the only Brazilian-born player, and has made a notable mark in his playing career with the Collingwood Football Club over the last eight years.
Born in Rio de Janeiro on 15th November 1986 to a Brazilian mother and a Congolese father, Harry moved to Melbourne in 1989 with his Mother and older Brother.
Harry was the only black member of the family, which includes 3 other siblings. He experienced racial discrimination from a young age which considerably shaped his world view and instilled in him a strong passion for human rights and social equality.
In 2006 Harry became the AFL Multicultural Ambassador with a heavy involvement in programs created to assist the culturally diverse population integrated into Australian society through the vehicle of Australian Rules Football.
In 2007 he became the Burnet Institute Youth Ambassador, and in October of 2008 Harry travelled to South Africa, Mozambique, and the Democratic Republic of Congo with the Burnet Institute to do work on the ‘ground’.
In 2008 Harry began voluntary mentoring at Collingwood commission flats. During the same year he represented the Burnet Institute in speaking at the Australasian African Studies Conference about Capacity Development and Global health in Africa.
Harry presented to the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development in 2009, on the significance and implementation of the new Human Rights charter ‘FRED’.
He is the President of an International Non-Government Organization ‘Hearts United for Humanity’, which is based in Kenya and aims to help the communities in Africa alleviate human suffering due to the effects of both natural and manmade devastation.
Harry spoke at the closing ceremony of the 63rd United Nations Department of Public Information/Non-Government Organisations Conference, and for the last three years, has been invited by the US Consult General to attend an Iftar dinner during the month of Ramadan, with young key leaders in Australian society who represent multicultural diversity.
In 2011, Harry was an official ambassador for the Dalai Lama’s visit to Australia, where he met and spoke with the Buddhist spiritual leader.
In 2012, Harry became a People of Australia Ambassador after being nominated by Prime Minister Julia Gillard, and also became an ambassador for the One Love Foundation, started by the family of Bob Marley. He is involved in The House of Marley, which makes eco-friendly sound equipment made from predominately sustainable materials.

Just recently, Harry opened up about his childhood stating "I'm going through a history ... of things for a long time, including a long and very complicated history of sexual abuse, suicide, depression, seeing someone get murdered, knowing that who murdered that person and not being able to say anything, knowing that person will probably murder you," O'Brien told the media as he arrived for training.

Thank you for such a thread. I'm so sick and tired of the horrific images being displayed to the world of black men in general. I will contribute to this thread in a big way in the days and months ahead. Some of you will be surprise. Some of you will not give a damn if the brothers are not black enough. The choices will be yours for acceptance like it or not. Again, thank you.

Ms. Lippy, little tiger is doing extremely well. He is growing by leaps and bounds in so many ways. I was tempted to post a picture, but decided not to. My princess (wife) has taken on a serious role of home education for him since she is involved in the education system. She intends to be the tiger mom in his future. Thanks for asking. We intend on having another child. Hopefully a girl this time.

Oh boy I know at this point we shouldn't be surprised but damn.
Dude was 2nd in his class with 100 average a fucking perfect average Model UN Winner and also did Alzheimer research before he was a teen. Now assholes want to say that white and Asians with the same credentials wouldn't get into these schools. So am I to believe that all teenage white and Asian kids are doing better than this before getting in? Seriously?

I was on cross country and we won a championship and I was one of the leads in Oliver but that shit ain't even close to being on the same level as this kid. I do wish I had more discipline as a kid, but then again I did have a lot of fun and things still turned out ok. I'm not managing a hedge fund.... yet but I got a decent place, a very pretty woman (a white one at that lol), good friends, decent job there really isn't much to complain about.
