I'm actually very aware what's going on out there. And I'm shocked at HOW MUCH there is AVAILABLE, tbh. Don't call me out of touch - you are not in the position to, particularly because of your surplus living condition. Do me a favor, go apply for assistance, eg: food stamps. Tell/prove them you are broke. Then tell me if you are denied. You won't be.

Public housing you might be correct, however selling drugs (on a corner you don't even own) isn't buying you a house.

And curiously, if 3 out 4 cant get a job and through no moral failing chose to deal or steal, exactly who do they expect to fund their criminal activity? Are they going to steal their unemployed neighbor's sneakers with holes in them? Sell to addicts who have stolen to fund their habits?

I'm demonstrating a point. People can and are rehabilitated from lives of crime. You said if a young guy messes up & does jail time, his only option is to sell dope and I'm saying it is not. Stick to the subject if you're able.

And not knowing "what the fuck you are talking about" is when one gets their information from inmates.

Selling dope is never anyone's best option to make it.
Selling is about quick and easy money, it's not a life or death choice for survival.

People advocating that selling drugs is a legitimate career option for young Black males might as well put a loaded 9mm now against the pregnant stomach of every unwed Black mother and pull the trigger, because there is NO future with that mindset.

There are no easy roads up from poverty. Selling dope keeps you from ever breaking the cycle of economic deprivation and keeps you on the bottom forever.

Honestly the people advocating this need to take a step back and think about what they're actually saying.

Becoming a criminal is a 'way up' and out of the ghetto?? Is a means for survival when you likely will either end up dead or in prison??

FOrget this is a forum, I don't believe some of you spouting off about drug dealing as a legit employment option for Black men would ever say this in front of other Black people IRL.

Hm, either go to HS, get the best grades you can and graduate then seek opportunities for higher education or vocational training...or.....sell dope and get sent up for 10 years for possession with intent to distribute??

Agreed, makes sense. Most of your posts I'm in agreement with. I'm also in agreement (so far) with the posts Centreville and andreboba made in this thread.

The biggest thing you're correct on is on how (as a black male) you can't identify with a conservative ideology and still claim to be black. Essentially, if you're a black republican/black conservative, you are backstabbing your own race and getting a "false sense of support" from white males. I personally know a BM who is like that. He even got ridiculed in school by some white males who called him nigger and stuff. He was complaining about that on the Dyestat forums and one of the users there said "Adam hates black people." Some people on here need to wake up.

I've tried to stay slient in this thread, but it's hard to do so.

You know criminals. That's all you know. No wonder. You ain't no cop. You only know cops, JUST LIKE I DO. Gotta laugh at your arrogance thinking you're the ONLY city-job applicant C/O in the country. Yeah, you got it covered.
What you don't have covered is how poor people think.

Ps: I bet you go into work acting all big and tough like Zimmerman with your mace/S-G held tight on your hip.

Not a right or wrong example.

    Reaching are we?

Prostitution is a job. If a man or woman wants to become one, they can do it legally in parts of this country. They must apply. It's a taxable profession, according to the U.S Government. In fact, Escort Services are legal in many States.

    Don't confuse likes/dislikes.
