I wonder what's the value in all this? I do believe in second chances (under some cases), but I think this is a bit of a stretch.

But it does remind you that the prison system is one big ass business.

LOL, not that one needed a reminder. :)

I can think of few things in life more wasteful than rotting away in a prison cell, every second of every minute of every hour of every day, day after day, for decades on end.

Talk about useless and purposeless with the one life we have to live.

I have some basic rules in my personal life and that is I don't try to be captain save a hoe, don't deal with drug addicts and I keep at a distance people with criminal histories.

I have a cousin that did time for slinging rocks and I don't even trust that dude, I keep him at arms length. Just the mentality of people who wantonly engage in criminal conduct turns me off.

I'm a stickler for no nonsense and don't care to have those kind of folks around me.

It really is. The prisons/this country are using the prison population as cheap labor. I read an article a while back on how profitable it is to have so many in prison and use their labor for cheap pay. I think it was less than 20 cents an hour. The article was comparing it to cheap labor overseas. Instead of taking advantage there they are doing it here.

LOL..Most of my family and friends are "those folks". I have to see things from a different point of view. Thats one of the main reasons why I didnt become a Police Officer in NYC, athough I did pass everything to get in. I had to step back and think about it because I will perform my duties no matter what if I did. I decided NO.

Maybe I'm heartless around these issues.

But I just have a low tolerance for criminal behavior and drug addicts.

I've just seen it too many times where people will do anything for a fix, the drugs control them and its all that matters.

I was raised by two military parents and so personal responsibility, self discipline and order was paramount and still is for me.

Sometimes even hot people do bad things. You never know they could have killed their ex and put their member in a jar on the fireplace. Don't do it nebs.
