I have been searching the internet about this topic but haven't found a decent discussion anywhere, so i pose the question to you all, what is your opinion of ignorant black folks. Me personally, i am ashamed of them. Very much so. I don't even want to call them my people. They are an embarrassment. I recently moved into a new apartment on the north side of Chicago (decent area, not a lot of crime, etc). The entire building is quiet, but somehow i got stuck with some of the loudest neighbors you can imagine. It's an older black woman, and a child. I believe she is the child's grandmother (i can gather that information because they are so loud i can put 2 and 2 together). She is always cursing at the child, beating the child, saying things like "i don't care what you do, cause i aint yo mamma." She throws parties and invites people over and the noise reaches outrageous levels with all types of arguing and cursing going on. I have reported this to the building management numerous times. One day when i was returning home, her daughter saw me unlocking my door and asked me if i was the one who was reporting the noise and complaining to management because if i was she was going to curse me out. There's also the point about the younger black generation. You know, the ones who don't care about anyone's opinion, don't care if they get pregnant at early ages, and don't care if they live or die (speaking about the young black boys). Whenever i see thugs or wannabe gang bangers, i just shake my head because they are such an embarrassment to me as a black man. Sometimes i wish our race could be separated into two categories: African Americans/black folks, and then you have the rest. If this is offensive to anyone i apologize, but seeing ignorant black individuals behave the way they do really bothers me and it makes me disassociate myself from them. What are you guys' opinion on this issue?

Wow!!! How do you have the right to judge others? Do you have a guide to show how someone supposed to act? Have thick skin brother, relax. Whats going on with you? Do you need somebody to talk too? It sounds to me the little girl nextdoor is going through a shit storm. I feel a sence of compassion for her. Keep an open eye & ear for her. Oh, people seem to enjoy that right whether it's your first post or your 8,228th post. Don't matter. If for some reason someone thinks they better than you..then they will judge you based on that assumption.

My mother wouldn't agree with you, she vented a bit about it yesterday evening. She said there was two types of black people. So.... do you think ignorance is within human nature?
In all honesty, I don't think this is the place to have such discussions. I think you would do better discussing these issues amongst a predominantly black audience, but at least a smaller group of people than what is on this site. I feel you on some of what you shared, but you may be barking up the wrong tree...
