Now hold on before you judge...
This is a thread to focus about the positive stuff.

Just immagine if you did not belong on this earth..
Immagine you visited earth once.. what would make you come back and visit again???

    I start:

    Music/art:
How amazing are we to neverendingly compose new music out of something that is acctually math... we re-invent and make it sound new again and again.

    Sports:
How amazing is the human body, I never stop being amazed about some of the crazy stuff we push our bodies to do.. where does it end? Track and field comes to mind.

    Love/faith
We seem to be able to overcome so many obstacles and just purey love....

    Nature:
no need to explain - just look at it - breath taking!

If I was an alien, I would come back to visit just for the sheer pleasure of watching the human body in motion.. concerts.. and a brand new couple bonding... or just sit on a mountain and watch...etc.

I can go on and on about the beautiful stuff we create, but I leave it to see what people say.

Like I said, no negativities allowed.. what amazes you about the earth....

Bio-diversity. From swimming birds (penguins), to running birds (ostriches), to flying birds (amazon parrots), it is all amazing how different it all is and how it all has its own niche.

Flora (and fauna to a lesser extent). I love flowers more than most. Roses, daffodils, peonies, pansies, you name it and I love them.

Art and music. I would make sure I listened and observed as much of the spectrum as I could. Unfortunately as humans we get stuck in frames and miss the landscape.

And also the history. Being able to observe the course of nature v mankind and how some very simplistic ideals changed the world. Some of the better and some for the worse. Yeah the history of the world is really interesting.

For sure, it would be the nature.. One live isnĀ“t enough time to see everything..

The human beings. The human mind is able to feel, we have a strong will. We have the ability to develop, we are ambitious... and we can forgive. Our love moves mountains.

Flying Geek, I have to pass more rep around before giving it to you again - great post!

I'd like to tie in Fly Girl and FG's posts and say I'd be thrilled to see humans and their fellows animals get along so well in some cases. Even to the point where humans live with fellow animals in the same house (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rodents, fish....). That would be a neat thing to see as an alien.

    Great thread FG!! :smt023

How about the massive structures that humans have created to honor their gods (temples, churches, Stonehenge, statues, obelisks) and their human "gods" (pyramids, statues, sarcophagi). And everything related to those cultures.

Thanks Books!!!! Very sweet of you.

I like to think about stuff like this especially when I have a bad day - just focus on the stuff that amazes me about this planet.

The oceans is another think that would make me come back

I saw Cirque Berzerk last night and it was really amazing... like Cirque de Soliel (sorry about the spelling) it is simply breathtaking what the human body can do and not just amazing, but beautiful, musical, emotional all at the same time.

My real answer: our stories. Humans are fabulous storytellers. Admittedly, I've never heard a non-human tell a story, so I can't compare, but I still like ours quite a bit. ;)

That would totally depend on how my home planet was.Hehe. Maybe we got love/emotions and art there too?

  15. About the only thing that would bring me back to Earth would be for a more detailed inspection of the classified Surface-to-Air missile development facilities .

We plan on destroying all nuclear missiles and launchpads simultaneously, in the opening seconds after our invasion force decloaks, as these are the only acknowledged weapons capable of causing one of our 3ft-long surface drones to malfunction, but our Tactical Command suspects that the more advanced nation-states may have secret facilities hidden deep near the Earth's core, where primitive Tachyon-based weapons are in development, and currently in the test phase, being clandestinely trialled against the civilian air services of the nation-state known as 'France'.

While these new weapons would obviously be useless against the shields of even one of the several thousand attack craft that would bombard from orbit, they could slow our surface operations

As the cloaked scanning devices we have in orbit of your planet can't yet read hard drives through hundreds of miles of solid rock, I might need return to Earth, penetrate these facilities under personal cloak, scan the hard drives upon which the research findings are stored, and take the findings back to High Command for their decision on the precise timing of our strike.

    :)

Definitely! I would also come back to see the sun rise and set. Its amazing how people rise up from their beds when the sun rises up from the eastern horizon and how people lay back down when the sun sets on the western horizon. Its almost like the human spirit is trying to follow the sun everywhere it goes and it just so happens to pull our bodies along with it. I would definitely come back to witness that.

Oh my god lol , I watched that on Sky last week, the last one was so sad, I was totally shell shocked waiting for my happy ending after the credits had already rolled. :?

Anyway as to the Alien thing, I'd come back for nature, the fileds around where I live would be enough.

And I'd also come back for the entertainment, women fighting over inferior specimens in the Club car park, I'd pull up a chair/UFO and get out the popcorn. :)

I think it's great he saved the rest of the Children, buuuttt when the kid was asking him what he was doing and he wouldn't look at him, it was awful, killing your own grandson:? I recorded it on Sky planner also for my Mum to watch as she likes Torchwood, she watched it while sitting for me, when I got back in she had been crying. lol she said even though he did a terrible thing she still loves Captain jack, sad cow my Mum.:smt012

Which reminds me John Barrowman was on Radio one last week saying he was going to be in Desperate Housewives, which is a shame as im not a fan of it.
