Nope, nope, nope...lol I can't speak for other women on the board, but personally, I prefer a man with some thickness to him over washboard abs and huge biceps. Yeah, I might have to wipe the drool from my mouth on occasion when I'm visiting the ABS thread or FOREARM thread, but when it comes down to it...I absolutely adore a man's body who's got that 30+yr old thickness to him. Maybe that's a strange way of putting it, but I'm sure some of the other ladies on here know what I'm talking about. Once men hit 30, their bodies seem to change...they fill out - I don't think any 6-pack can top that. Makes me wanna shoop!

Below are pictures of BM that I know personally, and each one of them are very good looking dudes in my book. None of them are muscle heads...not cut like models...they're your average joes. They've all got a thickness to them, and I ain't hatin' on a single one of 'em. ;)

No doubt...and cellulite has been called the "skinny person's fat"...lol. Even supermodels get it.

    Good freaking point, girl!!

I'm totally diggin' on these guys too, Suprchic!! I agree with you, that extra padding can be soooooooo super sexy. I actually love a bit of "softness" around the tummy/love handles. Mmmmm :)

Why don't you post up all the pictures you can find of "chubby" male models and we'll fawn over them too.

Don't even bother with him...he's an ass. He said that us OBESE women "should start eating properly and working out or [we] should develop a thicker skin", so I'm assuming that means he must be cut like Tyson Beckford? I'd like him to put his money where his mouth is and post pics. :smt012

Well, I don't know about that. But the point I was getting at was that pics of overweight male models don't really exist. But they do for women. So go figure.

We fawn over the fit, hard-bodied ones cos that's what we've got to work with!

And really - neither way is about being "shallow"... it's just personal preference.

I gotta cosign that hard. If you make any comments about a guy being overweight its laughable. Everyone has a good time at his expense ie IB posting the pic of that dude from D12 but if one us guys did that we're be insensitive and generalizing.
But as I said before you guys should be allowed to appreciate and be appreciated in peace so carry on. Just hate the hypocrisy, it keeps us so divided.

I didn't post the pic, I quoted it. I cracked a joke about him cause he was on Celebrity Fit Club and we see that didn't work out for him.

I was defending the meatier chicks....

Yeah but no one wants to be ostracized either. Its like telling a poor person stop being poor and if you don't like it get a better job. People don't want to hear that fam.

Yeah IB, I preface with saying I truly respect and luv you real talk, but when I said something to you about it your defense was it's easier for guys to lose weight anyway. I'm not saying you shouldn't defend and love meatier chicks I'm just calling out the double standard where you can make fun of men but don't dare do it to women because they're fragile. If I ever said we can't talk in front of her she's fragile my ass would be in hr quicker than I can say but. It gets a little annoying.

why is it that everyone assumes that b/c a girl is a little bigger that she's automatically miserable with herself? or that she eats nothing but burgers and donuts while she lays on the couch all day? i'm very active, i eat very healthy, i drink tons of water...i just had a baby too, so i'm working on dropping baby poundage, but even if you sucked every last ounce of fat off of me, i'd still NEVER fit in a size 6 jeans - my bone structure wouldn't allow that! so, for the record, it's not about being offended or taking "grief" about one's weight - it's about being perfectly aware that this is a thread showing appreciation for thicker girls, but people like you can't seem to just pass on by. there's always hatin' from somebody...we get it...you, andrae and a number of other men DON'T LIKE BIG GIRLS. more power to you - now just leave the rest of us the hell alone.

I do believe its easier for men to lose weight as a whole than women. Our make-up is completely different.

I barely posted something of substance in this thread until my last few posts. I was complimenting and bullshitting in here. Without men coming into play, I was merely discussing the fact that people came in here to diss the women, but no one ever set foot in the Spinners thread or any of those other threads and said shit, but yet people insulted women in here. I thought it was unfair cause this was supposed to be for everyone who appreciated someone with more meat (some more than others) on their bones.

Women get made fun of more than men. C'mon now! Lets not front. Yawl can be fat as fuck and you're still accepted and loved. Let a woman be a fat ass and she's eating herself into oblivion and depression cause it's not easy in this society having weight. There's a double standard.

As someone who used to have a weight problem, I'm going to have to vehemently disagree with this assessment. I put up with snide remarks about my weight made by both males and females for years. When you're fat, a lot of people think that they have the right to insult you to your face with impunity.

what happened to the sexy bbw pics?

I'm late but I must say, the guys throwing the ladies under the bus are looking really stupid. So what some of them prefer muscular guys... most men are naturually muscular..it's how God built men. Most women are naturally soft bodied and curvry...it's how God made women. Women are more sensitive by nature. Guys are supposed to have the thick skin.. aren't supposed to give a rats ass whether or not his body type is up to societies standards. Women on the other hand are bombarded with the image of being super skinny to the point where you have 12 year old girls starving themselves because they think their 110lb frame is too fat. They think theres no way they'll get that acting job or even weather girl job unless they are 'skinny'... where as Al Roker's fat ass gets to be the most recognized weather man we have.... when's the last time you've seen a 'big' weather lady?...never. Now THAT is the double standard and the shit that women have to deal with on a daily basis. So..'men'.. be men...grow a pair...get your panties out of a wad, stop your bitchin and maybe these ladies will post more pics... otherwise your going to run them all off and then what will be the point of this forum? have a good one..

as a matter of fact on the joy behar show a Dr ( the black guy on the celebrity weight loss show on vh1 ) stated that a little weight around the waist and thighs is healthy.

also slim people does not mean they are healthy they may have the unhealthy fat.

I will agree with you on most of what you stated . especially how society look at men versus women

That sucks Raocha. I'm not arguing the fact that people can't or won't be cruel. I'm sorry you had to go through that, but I'm speaking from what I've seen in my lifetime and what I see in the media. I have a few guy friends who are overweight and there isn't the same scrutiny as opposed to women I know. This is just my opinion, perspective and experience.
