I always wondered why do we thank God for everything but we aren't suppose to blame him for anything?

The reason, why I am not religious- I do not thank him, but also don´t blame him. It´s not his hand, who kills some one else, it´s not him, who bears a baby. It´s us, but we only learn in bad and hard times, our chance to understand our weaknesses and to make our decision, which way we want to go-

I agree but remember G-d was the one who built a hedge around Job and protected him because he loved him. Now Im not saying Im Job but I was trying my best.

I feel G-d should have protected a bro that was always loved him adored him and he didnt and I deserve to know what is up .

I deserve to know why evil is rewarded and the good is punished or suffer more than the evil. I can dig everything is not going to be peaches and cream but it should not always be thorns and screams.

look at rwanda , the starving children in africa ( they did notthing but be born) but look at people like Rush Limbaugh that preaches hate and the leader of Korea ( he tells people to eat grass for the good of the country while eating the fat of the land)

good point. I had quit my job because I said to myself you know fuck this shit. If I have to beg an entity to train me and then get mad if they can get the production they want then fuck em. I decided Im going to do what I believe what will bring me joy and that is to teach.

I was critized for quitting at a drop of a hat and not having a gig waiting. I responded I worked for an agency for 10 years not loving it because it was comfortable. today NO MORE OF THAT SHIT. I decided to go for it.

they responded there is no money in it.

my response : money is not everything and also if you manage your money correctly you will be fine.

their response was " what if you dont like it?"

my response : you dont know if you like spinach if dont taste it ?"

as far as your medical: Man I hate to hear that . because that is beyond your control. I bet some republican will say well that is life but I say if you call yourself a christian then the church should be helping to pay off the debt and if not dont get mad when the govt healthcare insurance kick in because you are not doing your job.

I remember when i was living in my car and i was parked near a church sleeping and that morning before church ( the place where i attended for years) ran me off and told me not to come back. ( Madison mission in huntsville alabama. It happened Jan 2009 the last weekend of that month) that was the same morning he preached about paying tithes to build a new church. WTF.

Build a new church but you cant feed a homeless dude during a recession. fuck that

I cannot agree with your argument that you deserve anything for your love. True love doesn´t expect anything. It sounds for me like a business, a deal.. I love and adore you- therefore I get protection or happiness in return. God isn´t a machine where you put in some coins and get your cooky out. Sorry, it´s how I see it..

i'm sorry to hear or your troubles goodlove & blaze, we're dealt with a bad hand at times & i do hope that things improve for you both. goodlove, you've received some terrific advice here & hope that you take it on board.

as a spiritual person (not religious) i find the topic of religion & god an interesting one. i've always believed that god is supposed to be all knowing & loving...people following the right path down here on earth so they can "get into heaven". so with that in mind, i find it completely odd when people speak of being god fearing. shouldn't people not fear god if it's all loving??? i've also noticed that some of the most deeply religious people can be the most bigoted, which again i thought went against everything that religion is about.

That is something none of can explain, BUT I do believe everything happens for a reason. I think this situation happened to teach you a few things. Good, certainly bad and everything in between. Maybe it was to show you who you can and cannot trust, how strong YOU really are if you get through this, maybe to get custody of your daughter in due time. Who knows? There is evil, but then there is good.

yeah, I dig what you are saying. It is very hurtful that people are so mean but are the first ones in their place of worship that morning. they are a bad respresentative of G-d.

Think about it. If G-d is to be in you because you claim to be a follower of G-d(Christian, Jewish or whatever) but you act evil to people then arent you proving G-d doesnt exist

I thought about that for an extended period of time. I try to see what good came out of this so far. what lessons were learned ?

No, it just means they're all hypocrites. The "do as I say, not as I do" people in religion tick me off and make me not want to be a part of any religion.

You don't learn the lessons and you can't see the good until the situation is completely over. Then you can reflect back and realize why you had to go through it.

It'll make you a stronger person.

    yeah tell me about that.

I just want to run from them like they have some kind of plague. I will go to worship with them and maybe hang with them but you have to be careful

    Don't give up!

Congratulations Goodlove on going back to school! So what grade level are you wanting to teach? Elementary, Jr. High, High School, College?

Sorry to hear about your not being able to reach your daughter by phone. Not being a parent myself I won't pretend to know the anguish of missing your time with your child. However, being a fairly creative person, it occurred to me that a gift of a cell phone (even a pre-paid one) given to your daughter by a mutually trusted friend or relative might eliminate the lack of talk time with her. Better still, a microphone or headset that will allow her to communicate with you over the internet. Almost every kid has access to the internet. I'm not in your shoes, so I don't propose to tell you how to relate to your daughter. But having been homeless myself, I do know that working through a daily labor company where you work today and get paid today, (Labor Ready, Labor Force etc.) is always an option, even if you're homeless.

Hang in there Bro'. Whether you're angry with God, the Police, or whomever, your daughter still needs her Daddy. I admire your tenacity. Sadly, a lot of guys just give up on their lives and their kids.

    With much respect for you,
    Darryl

Actually you have the option of thanking him for everything, or blaming him for everything. If you're serious about the "why" question you posted, please try reading the 1st & 8th chapters of the book of Romans (New Testament). You'll probably want to read from one of the newer versions, that use todays English. Your question is a valid one.
