Thank Bliss. All the houses around me were unscathed. If mycar was not under thetrees I would be able t drive around my hood and neighbouring towns. Just have to be careful with all the trees down. Also glad to hear you are safe, you mentioned before that you were sorrounded by trees.
I have now been convinced that you are not a black man. You are a white redneck moron from a southern state, masquerading as a black man. Admins punish me if you will but Iggy has gone too far. He is an instigator.
On ABC news, they reported that a town on the Jersey Shore (can't think of the name of the town) got so much water that temporarily, they've been whiped off the U.S. map. The thought of this is freightening to say the least. I couldn't even begin to imagine...
Moyher nature has showed it's power. In my town and I guess around the area there was miimal rain. If rain was added yo the mix like in other area we would have been more devastated, the wind was unlike anything I have seen with trees swinging left to right or heard with the noise it was making.
I sincerely want to apologize if I offended anyone. I do hope everyone will be okay during these harsh times. But the fact remains and I do stand by it, NYC is home to some of the most rude people on the planet.
And Bloomberg would give you a key to the city. Iggy, hurricanes don't discriminate. The wonderful people get swept up, too. Give it a rest for once.
supposedly Chris Christie (gov-NJ) was a critic of Obama too this disaster brought everyone together, democrat and republican
Yup. Political partisan to the side. Christie's first obligation as a Governor is to try to secure emergency Federal Funds for his State in this crisis. President Obama's first obligation is take care of Americans and States in this crisis. Party of ONE.
Shiiiiitttt it only seems that way when a democrat is in power. Katrina 05 painted a much different picture. It would be nice if they all would figure out that they worked for the American people.
Not sure what you mean you first line? I know you don't like Bush - soooo, are you saying ONLY a Dem Pres cares about Americans in a natural disaster?
I'm saying that with in the last two presidencies I've only seen one who cares. And its not a matter or liking or disliking its a judgement of past actions. I'm sorry that a lot of posters don't like to admit this but the Republican party as it stands now is completely about individualistic me me me policies. They are not the party of social issues, they maintain the mantra of every fend for themselves. Its all about personal responsibility no matter what the circumstances, that's why they use terms like entitlement programs when they speak about things like medicare and social security. Basically everyone who isn't able at the moment is freeloading off of everyone who is. Democrats are the party of social issues. Their policies seem more in line caring for people.
The former whatever he was..some advisor to bush who was involved with Katrina efforts supposedly said Obama acted too fast in relief efforts. I say supposedly because who could possibly be that stupid?
Compared to the Katrina response, anything compared would be considered warp speed. Fema is set up to act quickly. Policies and responses are dictated already so what is to delay on. Help the people at the ground level get back to a functioning level so they can rebuild their lives to some normalcy. Katrina response was a national embarrassment. My good friend, gym owner/trainer, had all his family in the midst of it. I heard firsthand how people were treated. It is not necessary. No money is saved and desperation prevails causing people to turn on other victims and loot and hurt. I firmly believe the poor treatment of Katrina victims was because many were black or poor. Republican prez's can't have sympathy for the little people. If that hurricane hit Long Island or South Beach we would git er done in speed time.
