Radio shock jock Howard Stern isn’t the biggest fan of actress Gabourey Sidibe. He took to the airwaves earlier this week and slammed her, claiming she is too fat to have a career in Hollywood.

There’s the most enormous, fat black chick I’ve ever seen. She is enormous. You feel bad because everyone’s pretending she’s a part of show business and she’s never going to be in another movie,” Stern said. “She really should have gotten the Best Actress award because she’s never going to have another shot. What movie is she gonna be in?”
“‘Blind Side 2,’” Stern suggested. “She could be the football player, take out the whole front line.”
“It’s so sad you want to say to her, listen honey, you got a little money in the bank, go get yourself thin. You’re gonna die. And now she’s famous and she’ll never get another acting job”
Stern, on the air with his co-host Robin Quivers, also played the speech given by Oprah Winfrey to Sidibe at the Oscars on the program. The hosts said Oprah was lying to her by saying she’s going to have a career in Hollywood.”Come on, be honest with the girl,” Stern said. “Look in that room. Who else do you look like? Those are the people that work all the time,” Quivers agreed.

Hollywood is dying for another Mammy figure, Latifah's looking too damn good these days and Monique went and got her stomach stapled. They will write roles just for Gabby.

 

You think so fam? She's a wreck no one wants to see that but maybe she can do some comedy stuff. I'm sure she will get work just because she's an oscar winner and I'm sure she will lose weight because everyone knows how unforgiving hollywood is

 

Just read a blog about George Clooney not standing up while Mo'Nique accepted her award and was calling him racist.

I don't think that makes him a racist. He's at the Oscars, he's knows cameras are everywhere so it's not like he could think it wouldn't be noticed. Maybe he thinks Sandra Bullock is a better actress than Mo'Nique, or maybe he thought someone else should have won the Best Supporting Actress award, maybe he was tired? Who knows, but assuming it's racism seems a bit premature.

 

I agree. If we look, he was clapping. He seemed annoyed when the hosts were talking about him. Sandra is probably his friend too. They also said he had a flask of something...

I think she did an outstanding job and is an excellent actress.
I hope she gets roles (and I dont think she should be doing comedy at all).

Although I'd like it to be different, I agree that hollywood is not very welcoming to fat people. She'll either end up losing weight in a major way, which will probably bring her more fame (oprah will certainly do a whole show on her and she could even write a book about it), or she'll disappear.
Which is a shame, because from what I've heard, she's certainly someone with talent.

What Stern said was very cruel, but no more cruel than any other crap he gives people. The guys a douche.

 

Meaning that her getting roles isn't likely because of her size. Looks matter especially in ol tinsle town.

Agree that the chances of good roles are dwinding severely at her size, but not impossible - IF you are good enough and become a sweetheart, apparently she is winning peoples heart - I think she can have roles written for her..

Only time will tell I guess. You know everybody likes an underdog.. she has a chance.
