How many times would you get married?

Okay, ideally only once, but that is not the reality of the world today. Since my divorce, I have had 2 serious relationships, but marriage was the sticking point with each one.

My parents have both been married more than once(mom twice and very happy in her current marriage, dad three times and miserable as fuck). I am not really sure that I want to get married again. I know I can honor a commitment and there are great men out there, but I think I need to be single for a few more years. I know that I would feel like a tremedous failure if I married again and it did not work.

    Thoughts?

My folks have been married 56 yrs, so it's hard to try and not use that as a mirror, but for me, I'm still aiming for once...lol

If once doesn't work, I'd do it again till I got it right. Then again, I'll have to answer once I got married and if it didn't work out.

    I don't belong in this thread...lol

I'm on my 3rd marriage. But I was far to young for marriage the first two times (16, 20). I said after the second I would never do it again but I did.

My own mother has married 7 times (6 men) and my father 4 times.

I've been married twice. Of course, I only ever wanted to be married once and be happily married until I died, but that didn't exactly work out. I really need to choose better men.

Anyhoo, I've decided that I would get married again, but not for a long, long time. I'd probably have to be with the guy for like 10 years before I decided to marry him.

Then again, who knows, maybe I'll be married again in a year. LOL.

Life has a way of screwing up your plans. :smt042

Only once. It's ending now and it won't happen again.

Once. I, of course, can see myself with my man forever....however, if disaster struck and we ended it. I don't think I would ever get married again.

But really, who knows? None of us know how we will feel tomorrow, let alone in a year, or a decade.

    NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's HIGHLY unlikely I will ever get married. Maybe somewhere down the line I could change my mind, but I wouldn't count on it.

As many times as I feel like it and not really give a hoot of someone else likes it or not.

Once and once only. A divorce is expensive as hell and it wouldn't make any lick of sense to try again once you've reached 40. This is especially true if you want to have children.

I want to be married only once, but who knows what life will bring. It's possible it could happen more than once...if it ever happens at all.
