A friend of mine was just "dumped" by a girl for not being Catholic enough. They met at a bar, she gave him her number. They talked for hours on the phone. They were going to go out on a date tonight, but he got a call from her last night saying that she thinks he's a really great guy, and blah, blah, blah, but said, I'm really, really Catholic and I'm a virgin and you're not, so we can't date. He was floored.

This guy is not one to go out and have one-night stands or flings. So, he couldn't believe that she'd say that to him. He dated a girl for 3 years, and didn't have sex with her.

So, I guess two people can be the same religion, but if one doesn't practice it good enough for the other person....

that is true, one could be a nominal christian--not really practicing, following the word of God and the other could be on fire for the Lord. If they are not going to walk the same road together in ONE accord and with same goals, then it isnt a good thing that they date.

it should be normal, not a side bar, that a guy went with his girlfriend for 3 years without having sex, as we are taught that fornication is a sin and not glorifying God

Agreed. But, in this day and age, it's more of an exception...

yes you are right, it is the exception and that is the problem. Falling away from Christ to follow societal norms is the sin which was prophesied and we are seeing it all over. it should be the norm of all men and women in the christian faith, but worldliness has taken over :(

You are so right tuckerreed- worldliness has taken over made us believe this is the norm!

Yes you need to get a pic up. (But I am not worried-I am sure you are a cutie). For me-I am attracted to the mind, body, and soul of a man, and so far , so good.

I am with you Qssassy, i respect others having their choice to their own faith and religon and liberty and freedom of religion, but i couldnt date a muslim either. Just too much differences that are central to my being.

first being that My God is Jesus and he is only their prophet. also the religious eating issues and dress and rules for women.
