Would anyone like to delve into MY reality for one whole year? You'll get compensated for the hard work.

It's not all that common in humans, but a lot more common in animals. Fascinating stuff, but also a little heartbreaking.
    Swap ya? ;)

For me the reality is in convincing the self that I can achieve anything. Living in a culture such as ours which is filled with negative suggestions. For me through meditation the mind is tempered with the goal of a inner discipline gained by intense physical practice in the martial arts. The meditation it is meant for the mind to not over think something at the cost of implementing that something that you want to do or to jump into something prematuely especially when sparring an opponent. In other words, get a basic understanding first of a method and then put it into practice. This is applicable to all things in life.

I did not know Nichiren was aggressive or Evangelistic at all. I was raised as a Baptist, but after looking constantly at the base level of my constant questions (why are things this way, what is reality, is god even really all that important, etc.), I became interested in Mahayana Buddhism, particularly Zen. It's very difficult to contemplate because language can be particularly meddlesome, especially when explaining concepts.

I've been interested in Eastern religions and philosophies since I was a kid - Buddhism, Hinduism, and Taoism are some of my favorites to study. But Buddhism strikes me the most as it contemplates "What is reality" instead of "Is there a god", which is practical because immediate experience is being addressed.

Sometimes it comes to bite me in the ass, but some people just recognize it as me just being nerdy and thorough.

I see how the mind shapes reality, but I also think it's the components of the mind that make them up - your ideas, your habits, the words you use. There's actually a communications theory called the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis: the theory that says that language shapes reality as well.

Kind of like memetics. Language and thought over time can actually influence our DNA
