How did you meet the people you have had the most significant relationships with in your life? (other than your family) How has it changed for you over the years, if it has?
Most significant relationship I had was with this lady from out of state. I don't really remember what state she was from, I want to say Indiana but I'm not 100% sure. She came from one of those small towns were every body knew each other, she showed me pictures and it looked very old timey. She had a similar upbringing as me too, single mom and a sister. I'd say she was significant to me because she showed me a lifestyle that was much different than what I was used to. Prior to meeting her I was very superficial, my priorities were screwed up, I cared more about nice cars and clothes instead of the simpler things. We broke up because, despite how nice she was, she wanted to rush things. After 3 months of being an official couple she said she was ready to get married, she would ask everyday if I was ready to propose (we lasted around a year so that's about 9 months of her asking "So, when are we gonna get hitched"?). The idea of marriage wasn't what turned me away though. It's the fact that she wanted to be a stay at home mom, with at least 5 kids (she said she wanted no less than 5 but preferably around 8), she wanted to home school those kids or send them to bible school since she was very religious, she also wanted her mom and step dad to move in with us if we were to get married. None of that appealed to me and she was adamant about all of that. So we decided to part ways.
Oh, and we met at a basketball stadium when I was working as one of the guards. I saw her wandering around like a fish in a bowl so I just ran up to her and started talking.
