Hoolihan, & OUR Wedding Anniversary Gift!

It all started with Mellisa coming into the studio to-day..


Her eyes are red from crying...

..and she holds a Fed-Ex package in her hands..


To make a long story short, one of my old colleagues & friends, the scriptwriter, novelist & essayist Hoolihan Reeves sent US a package....

I've not seen the bloke since WE all got laid off by Time Warner 'way back in 2005...but we HAVE kept in touch off n' on. Hoolihan was one of the groomsmen at OUR wedding...(Hoolihan was also one of the pallbearers for Pigpen's funeral http://www.whitewomenblackmen.com/forum/showthread.php?p=301225#post301225 )

And so....'cause our W.A. is on 25 November ('Cause Mellisa sez it reminds us to be thankful for *each other*)....Hooley sent us 2 scripts that he wrote just for *us* & "Cook County":

"As Ye Sew, So Shall He Rip"

"Bridge Over The River 'Why'"


So I took an early quit from the studio...and took the scripts...home...to study them (I already have the charcaters planned for the scenarios)..


And then we got *another* notification...this one from the family lawyer.

We got a story script from comedy writers Tom Gammill & Max Pross because my attorney now handles their finances, so he asked them a favour, and here comes the story "Son Of A Gun Of A Gun Of A Gun". Which is gonna get TOP treatment from my distributor, 'cause Gammill & Pross are hot off "The SIMPSONS", "SEINFELD", and even their original stint....the classic 1970's era of The ORIGINAL "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE".


So now, I'm sitting here trying to collect my thoughts & take it all in.....

It's all pretty much like the passage in The Good Book sez:

My Cup Runneth Over...



It's nothing less than the BEST 10th anniversary present that WE have *ever* received!

Mellisa's tears were *happy* tears.....

And I guess mine are kinda, too....


And in the words of RARE EARTH...

We Just Wanna CELEBRATE!!

M & M sittin' in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g. 1st comes love :smt055, then comes marriage. Then comesMDB with a baby carriage. Yes, I know it's a trifle infantile (pun itended) but ya'll just sound so darn cute. I honestly can't help it :mrgreen:

 

One Junior Animator is planned to come into the studio empire - hopefully - some time in the future.

I'm told that now that the contracts are all signed and the committments are in place - there shouldn't be any serious problems for Yours Truly..



But now, I once again *walk the pillow*..NOT in giddy exuberance and jubilation....but wondering...questioning..

Because I answer to the European division of NBC-Uni (for now) any exec shake-up in N.Y. or L.A. will *not* involve me or any other employee for The World Outside of The United States....for now....


So, my position is safe....
