This one might have been mentioned on this board previously but I caught the tail end of it last night and it looked pretty good. Nicole Ari Parker,David Moscow, & Phylicia Rashad were also in it along with some other cuties as well. The main thing that appealed to me from what little of it that I saw was that for once at the end the brotha (Hill Harper) got the white girl named Samantha played by Laurel Holloman.  http://www.geocities.com/barnesjones/Bader/Jezebel.html
I remember this flick, but I forgot about it. I don't think it was released in the theatres, however. The Kid Rasta 8)
Movies like these tend to "hook" an audience into thinking there will be interracial action but end up being a let down. If you want to see interracial relationships either find a white female whose into you or watch porn.
 It's like a quirky romantic comedy with the brotha winning out in the end for a change.
still waiting to see "the bachelor," starring a black guy, who selects a white woman to be his wife
True dat playa. But I think we'll see that before we'll ever see a bunch a cops do jail time for "offing" a brotha :!: :x
offing brothas used to be a national past time in this country i'm still a bit surprised we made as much headway in this country, as we have.. things were lookin very gloomy for us back in the day.. i ain't pickin cotton fo anyone, ya heard
POJ,I would not hold my breath on this one. As long as the people who own those channels looked like that bachelor,no brother would be picking any hot WW any time soon.
This was a good movie to watch nonetheless. Hill Harper is one of my favorite black actors. The brotha can get some serious white tail onscreen if white producers would just allow it. This movie had potential with he and Sandrine Holt (Mona), but they never went full blown with it. As for Laura Holloman's character, they had her married to some insecure white boy. Go figure. As for a brotha starring in "The Bachelor." Hollywood will never do it. Sorry. The CW is about to premiere "Farmer Wants a Wife," with (ya'll guessed it) a cornfed white boy as the star and 10 women from the city competing for him. Hell, in the commercial for it, it could swear that one of them was a sistah. That's how they do it. No love for brothas.
