Should you ever want to write some lines for a violin to add into your stuff (when done well it can be awesome), a friend of mine has a recording studio out here so I can always record and send the mp3 out if you have the capability to mix it in.
I'm all about bringing some sense of solidarity back to music, so I will definitely keep that in mind.
I was just reading some of your stuff, and couldn't agree with you more. Offer stands, you write it, I'll play it. (I don't suck, either. At the violin I mean. Got accepted to Juliard but chose a different life path, but I've been playing since I was two.)
Eh? Not really. Just picked sports over music when the time came to it, more scholarship money, and needed my education ticket.
Wow!!! Spontaneous, athletic and musically gifted? I'd classify you as a definite catch in my book. What kind of music do you usually listen to? and who's your favorite recording artist or group?
Depends on what mood I'm in at the time. I don't really have favorites. Some times I'm in the mood for one thing, some times it's another. My ipod has everything from rap to country to old school R&B, my friends' local punk bands (okay, so I only listen to that once in a while, and probably only because they're my friends) to obscure classical composers, (mix in some GOOD jazz in there), and that's it. I grew up with an appreciation for all types of music, so to me it's just about whether or not I can appreciate the talent behind it. Make sense?
It makes perfect sense. I listen to everything. Most people look at me and automatically perceive me to fit a certain "demographic" if you will. However, I grew up on a lot of classic rock, soft rock, and classic R&B. I listen to everything from The Beatles to Mary J. Blige. Like I said in one of my blogs, real music has no color. My ultimate goal is to bridge the racial gap as far as music is concerned.
that's awesome...i've been playing for 20yrs come august. before me and my husband moved, i taught private lessons. now i have to re-establish my clientele (sp?). do you teach classical, contemporary, sacred, or a combination?
