Well, I've said this before and got railed, most of the brothas who are dating these white chicks on this board are light or biracial, IE closer to white. Would she had tied the knot or even would have been seen with a with a darker brother, I think NOT. This man is biracial, which is considered "black" but deep down, most people would try to diffreniciate between biracials and blacks with two "black" parents.

THese white women, who are famous, seems to me they want someone who is "less intimidating" and "less threatening", someone who is black but NOT as black, if you know what I mean. I'm NOT jealous, it's just an observation. Like that girl who said Idris was ugly, well I'm not the one to judge but I bet if he was lighter, than she would be singing a different tune.

Now you could say black is black, to the extremists it might be, but I think people, in general, have "better" expectations and judgements to the lighter individuals then to the darker ones.

 

Axum, I think we have seen just as many of white female celebs date dark skinned black guys as they do light skinned ones. I will say though that biracial kids who are part black tend to on average socialize with white folks more often than the average black American. Just my observation. Obviously in part that's probably because for most of them they have white family members and likley had white friends from an early age. And therefore it makes sense that they are more open to the idea of dating white folks and vice versa. I'm sure if, say, Wesley Jonathan hung around white folks (particularly white girls) as much as Evan Ross he could get his share too.

And the female poster who made a comment about Idris may not ahvebeen turned off by his skin color. You know not every star is atatrctive in everyone's eyes. I'm a dude so maybe my opinion doesn't count but i never understood the big deal women make over Idris either other than he's 6'3 and has a British accent. But to each their own right? White women seem to have no problem appreciating Denzel or Blair and other darker skinned cats. Many of them go freakin' crazy over Seal which mystifies a lot of the guys on this forum. You like who you like.

 

There are a lot of examples of hot white girls dating dark brothas.

This chick - Jordan Monroe while at the University of Nebraska became a playboy model and dated Terrence Nunn, a wide receiver for Nebraska.

He looks pretty dark to me and she didn't have a problem with him getting all up into that.

 

I agree,I as well have said something similar to this before.
That it seemed like the lighter skinned brothers got the best looking white women.Not saying that darker skin bros dont get good looking white women...but ive observed more lighter skinned brothers with better looking white women than i have dark skinned brothers.
Also ive observed that many of the good looking white women tend to actually prefer lighter skinned brothers,if they like black guys at all.

 

I dont even count athletes

because the brothers have 2 incentives for these types of women to mess with them (money & fame)

You can tell that the reggie bush/kim k thing is authentic,because dude is handsome,and he approached her(kim k).Not saying that gold diggers dont attempt to dig on handsome dudes,but the relationship just looks more believeable.
You can tell kim k's not gold digging,because she makes her millions,and seems to have a penchant for Black dudes (Ray j,Damon Thomas)

 

Jamal, with all due respect (and I really enjoy reading your posts) I think you are missing the point. The point is that American white women who are famous and grew up in White America TEND to go towards the lighter-skinned/biracial brothas if they go Black at all. Yeah there are some exeptions, like athletes, (the Boise St WR who proposed, just to boost my original point) but the MAJORITY of the "finer", classier, WHITER white women would go for a black man who is less intimidating and closer to white than a darker skinned, "stronger" individual (yes I'm playing on sterotypes, but they play a major role to this day).

I guess my experience is different. I se dark skinned black guys with lovely white women (or non-black women) just as much as I see light-skinned black guys with such women. Now of course since there are more dark skinned black guys in the first place perhaps that proves your point. But still its about equal overall in terms of the hot ladies they roll with.

Do you guys want to seriously start keeping a count on these things every time we post something regarding a new IR couple?

Oh and while malikom wasn't the one who suggested it I still have to ask why is it that a dark skinned black athlete is getting white chicks just because of his fame and money but a light skin cat in the same position is getting "it" because of his looks? Maybe that says more about the feelings of the person who suggested that than it does about the women he is accusing of being golddigers.

 

Good find Noble. I haven't been keeping up on Evan in a minute but Cora is fine. I had no idea they were together. He is very lucky indeed. I hope it lasts. Now if only I could find some luck in the romance department lol....
