Hey JRem, i know it's been a while, but is that a Bears vs. Saints showdown for NFC supremacy that i smell brewing?? Lol

Bryant, i really am looking forward to the Bears taking on the Seahawks. It should be an interesting matchup in my opinion. I think Chicago would take that one. Seattle narrowly beat Dallas after Romo fumbled at the last minute. If he had let Martin Gramatica kick that 19 yarder, they could have one that game. But that's that. The Seahawks aren't getting off like that again and unless they step up, the Bears have it.

    Anyways, here are my predictions:

    Baltimore to beat Indianapolis

    New Orleans to beat Philadelphia

    Chicago to beat Seattle

San Diego to beat New England

    What say you ?

    BRYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT!!!!!
Dude...seems like we both disappeared for a while huh???

    But we are back!!!
Man, SAINTS vs BEARS would be nice huh man???
but first, gotta get rid of the EAGLES and SEAHAWKS first!!!!

And hey, watchout with T-Rex...if he sucks, we might have the NFC championship somewhere down south!!!! :):):)

Laydeezmancris, ur predictions are a bit too...conservative no??
I predict that New England shocks the world and beats San Diego!!!
Same for Indy...Peyton finds a way!!
For the NFC, I agree!! NO to beat Philly (big biased pick) and Bears
    to beat Hawks!!

I've been on the Seahawks message boards a little lately in an attempt to see what they're saying over there, and they're so confident because of the fact that both Alexander and Stevens are playing this time around, and the fact that Mike Brown and Tommie Harris won't be playing for the Bears. Those are all good points, but Alexander doesn't look like the same back this year, Stevens probably won't be that big of a factor because historically the Bears don't give up big plays to the tight end, and although Mike Brown and Tommie Harris are done for the season, the rest of our secondary is back healthy and ready to play. If Benson gets 25 carries, if Rex takes what the defense gives him, and if the special teams and defense both play well like they have all season, the Bears will win. In all honesty, i really don't see any way that the Seahawks win other than forcing Rex into five turnovers. If he doesn't do that, i can't see any way that they win. So all of us Bears fans definitely have our fingers crossed hoping for good Rex to show up. :smt023

    Here's my predictions:

    1. I think Baltimore has the better chance of winning, but i wouldn't be surprised if the Colts show up and win either.

    2. The Patriots played really well against the Jets, but all season long i've been saying the same thing about them and that is the fact that they're the best rebuilding team i've ever seen. However, their run ends in San Diego this week. Chargers win that game.

    3. The Eagles have had a good run with Garcia at quarterback, and it will be a really close game i think, but the Saints will win, which means:

Bears vs. Saints NFC Championship Game

Chargers vs. Ravens AFC Championship Game

LET'S GO BEARS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    DESTROY THE SEAHAWKS!!! :smt071 :smt072 :smt062 :smt066 :smt067 :smt070

2 and 0 with my picks so far ppl!!!

    Saints handle the Eagles
and the Colts defeat these cocky Ravens!!!

Now to make me look reaaaaaal good,
the Bears have to handle the Hawks and
the Pats have to defeat the cocky Chargers!!!

But I have to admit that I would love to see those
Seahawks upset the Bears so we can have that NFC championship
    down her in Nawlins!!!! :):):)

    PEAAAAAAAAACE!!!

Wow Jrem, you were dead on with all of your picks! I'm usually able to hang with you in the picking department, but you totally smoked me this time. I knew that the Colts stood an outside chance of winning, but New England???? I'm totally shocked by that one! They have no receivers, a rookie kicker, a banged up secondary, yet they knock off the top team in the league?? I just don't understand how they're doing it. I hope the Colts beat them next week because i hate the Patriots, but i'm impressed by what they're able to do thus far.

What a Bears win huh! It came right down to the wire. See, i told you guys Rex was gonna be fine. I never lost faith in him. I've stuck with Rex from day one unlike a lot of the other bandwagoner Bears fans out there who keep calling for his benching. All they ever look at is his bad games, but they never look at any of his good games, and the fact that he's still basically a rookie. He's our quarterback for the future, end of story.

I'm really impressed with the Saints. If they come into Chicago next week and knock off my Bears, i'll be rooting for them in the super bowl unless they play the Colts, in which case i'll be rooting for the Colts (because i think Peyton Manning is the most deserving player to win a super bowl that i've ever seen).

It should be two great, great championship games next week. I can't wait! I have to admit though, i'm still recovering from that Robbie Gould 50 yard field goal!!! LET'S GO BEARS!!!!!

    The time has come BRYANT!!!

    I should say OUR TIME!!!...SAINT'S TIME!!! :):):)

    My picks:

SAINTS over BEARS...close at the start, but not at the end!!

COLTS over PATS...but I'm not too sure for that one!!

Rex played well last week, but still showed that under pressure he makes a lot of costly mistakes, fumbles nd stuff like that...soooo...I hope Will Smith and Charles Grant will come after him!!!! :)

Peace and may the best teams win!!!

Jrem, there you are! I've been wanting to smack talk a little bit with ya, but i'll just say may the best team win! By the way, Rex doesn't have to win this game for us. The defense will! :p 8)

Thanks Jrem! Good game man. I wish Bush didn't do that little taunting thing that he did (that really makes me not like him), but oh well. Your Saints are a good football team, and they'll be back next year. I just can't understand for the life of me why my Bears are continually disrespected and picked against?? Why does the entire country root against the Chicago Bears?? I just can't understand it. The Bears have been the second most complete team all season (behind San Diego) yet they're continually the underdogs in almost every game they play. I really hate the media now, and the majority of the fans of other teams around the country because none of them gave my Bears a dying chance in that game. The Saints were a feel good story, but if they knew a thing about football they would know that a dominant defense and special teams is greater than a superior offense any day of the week. I'm not going to make any predictions for this game, but i just hope that the greater team comes out on top. Both teams are great, and i can't wait.

I want the Bears to win this thing but would be just as happy to see the Colts win because Dungy lost his son and deserves this as a compensation.

This super bowl actually sucks for me a little bit because i don't hate the Colts at all. It's fun when you're able to hate the rival team, but i actually like the Colts. All those years when the Bears kept getting knocked out of the playoffs and finishing at the bottom of their division, i had to pick an alternate team to root for until the Bears turned back into serious contenders (don't get me wrong, i'm not a bandwagoner at all, i supported the Bears even in their 5-11 seasons, but come playoff time, it's always nice to have a team that you're rooting for you know), and that team turned out to be the Colts because i really like Peyton Manning. I think he deserves a ring more than any individual player in the entire league. He's a great guy, and a great, great player. So i'll be rooting for the Bears because they're my number 1 team, but if the Bears go down, i couldn't be happier for the team that they could potentially be going down to.

I just thank god that it's not the Patriots or the Saints! Lol

lol. I actually hate the Colts and Peyton; i want the Bears to do well too. I cannot believe every single person i have spoken to since their Sunday victory wants the Colts to win. I am virtually the only person in my workplace who wants to see the Bears win the Super Bowl. Now i ain't a nuthogger (i am a Dolphins fan and the Dolphins are horrible now) but the Bears have worked so hard to get to where they are, especially their defense. Everyone -including myself- was predicting the Chargers would win but now i know the Bears are never to be underestimated.

I'd love to see Peyton screw up yet another big game.

you know, ever since the game, i've avoided talking sports with anyone, and i've "definitely" avoided watching sportscenter all that much because they're biased against the Bears like nobodies business...haha i HATE the media now. better yet, i DESPISE the media for their pathetic biases. they completely lack objectivity. the only thing they cared about was who "they" wanted to win, and not who the better team actually was going into the game. the only few who were somewhat objective were John Clayton, Bill Simmons (he writes the funniest sports columns on the entire internet by the way) Chris Berman, and Scott Van Pelt. everyone else, including Jaws and Salisbury (both of whom i used to like before they completely made a fool of themselves by bashing my Bears) are all eating their words. such FOOLS! haha  i'm sorry for ranting, but i'm gonna enjoy seeing them pick against the Bears and come out looking ridiculous yet again. it should be fun! :p

by the way, i'm surprised that you don't like Peyton. it's Bill Belichek and the golden boy Tom Brady that i'm not too fond of...lol i HATE New England, and the media is forcing me to hate the Cowboys, Eagles AND Saints. sorry Jrem but it's true. :smt012

I can't believe you still watch Sportscenter. lol.

But dude, anyone who hate on the Cowboys is a hater, period. They could have one "that" game (should have won it) and maybe they could have been in the Super Bowl. I actually do not mind the Patriots and i wanted them to win because i felt they'd have been an easier match for the Bears. Either way, Chicago all the way. Any person who puts them down is a clown, period. (And that goes for all those sports "analysts" on ESPN).

haha...i can't believe i still watch Sportscenter either. i have to get my sports fix from somewhere though right. you're a fan of the Cowboys?? i possibly could have been, but they just kept shoving Romo down my throat all season long, i got so sick and tired of hearing it. first they started shoving Romo down my throat, then Garcia, then Brees, it just never ends...lol even if the Cowboys had've beaten the Seahawks, i think the Bears would have beaten them anyway though. but i think you're right. it was the Chargers that i was afraid of playing. that team is scary. i'm still trying to figure out how New England "stole" that game away from them? :D

My man Bryant...WHY would u hate the Saints???
Bcoz of the media??? c'mon, gimme a better excuse!!!
Ok, Bush taunting wasn't nice, but the Saints are a team with no TO or stupid trash-talking players!!!

Great defense doesn't always win...Peyton Manning proved it with his 32 second half points against the Pats!!
what really killed the Saints on sunday was the four turnovers (including a fumble that should have been down by contact)...I can assure you that without the turnovers, better ball protection from Saints players, we would have given u a much tougher time...after Bush's score, u guys really were on ur heels, and we let u off the hook with our missed field goal!!!

Now why do ppl do not like the BEARS????
Bcoz ur quaterback looks like an average highschool QB...inconsistent...for us Saints fans, he reminds us a lot of Aaron Brooks...did u see his QB rating before Bernard Berrian bailed him out with that incredible catch (taking advantage of a pretty lousy Fred Thomas)???
In the superbowl Is it gonna be Good-Rex or T-Rex?? that is the question!!! :):):)

    GO COLTS!!!!! :)

it's not just the media, but some of the New Orleans fans as well. they were coming on the Chicago Bears message board in swarms, and they were all predicting a Saints blowout victory. that kinda stuff really bothers me. i've never seen a 13-3 team disrespected like this before. it doesn't matter how easy their schedule appeared to be. winning in the national football league is HARD to do. any given sunday you know.

the Pats have a good defense, but not a great one. they have one good player in the secondary (Samuel) one, maybe two good lineman (Seymour and Wilfork) and one good linebacker (Colvin. Bruschi is on the decline). The great defenses in the NFL belong to the Bears, Ravens, and possibly Chargers (because of their great pass rush). The Colts are a good offensive team, but offensive teams have to play perfect ball and not turn it over, or else they'll lose. that's why i'll never put all of my faith in any teams offense, because your offense can be spectacular, and move up and down the field, but just like we saw with your Saints, if you turn the football over on offense, you're in trouble. i'd much rather rely on a stifling defense and great special teams to win me the game.

you're absolutely right....turnovers did the Saints in. but all of us Bears fans knew that that's what we had to do to win....create turnovers. the Bears thrive on running the football, doing playaction passes, playing good defense, and getting good field position.

haha...nobody on the planet is as bad as Aaron Brooks. that guy is the worst quarterback i have EVER seen. he really sucks. Rex is inconsistent, but his problems stem from not focusing when he should. he had all of his letdowns against some of the worst teams. against Greenbay, against Minnesota, against Miami, and against Arizona. i'm confident in Rex. i think he's gonna be a pro bowler next season. you just wait and see. :D

Something just tells me that Peyton Manning will perform well on perhaps his last shot at proving himself, but i desperately want the Bears to win so that all the people i know who supported the Saints will not gloat. IMO, if the Bears can play good defense (like they often do) and shut out Manning, the Colts are screwed.
