I'm not really sure about what you mean brother Justin. :| You have to elaborate a little bit more on that. But yeah, she's amazing. I haven't been this happy and excited in a looong time. You know, when you meet that special someone in whom you really connect with and share a special bond with, there's no greater feeling in the world, and i think i've found that with her. Of course, i'm sure that she'll tell you the same thing about me. Well, i hope she does...LOL

    Hey Bryant,
I did not know you were into the web design thing........
I currently do it for a living at this company I have been with for about a month now. When I came into the company, I had a solid drawing, 3D, and graphic/web design background. They are training me to program the back ends of websites via coldfusion and php. I also have to do flash animations for websites, 2D, and 3D designs for certain tasks. Man, I wish you had told me you were into this stuff......One thing I will tell you though is this. DO NOT I repeat, DO NOT wait until your last year (when you are about to graduate) to start getting experience and internships. Start trying to get experience and intership positions now. Believe me, you will save yourself from a very vicious battle if you do. There is a saying known as "Catch-22" that applies to recent graduates from college. You WILL NOT get experience without work, and you also WILL NOT get work without experience. Competition is amazingly fierce out there, and only the people with experience and talent will be picked.

Ohhhhh crap! One more thing bro.........I have to warn you about something . You will increase you chances of getting hired if you are versatile. Try learning both DESIGN and PROGRAMMING (html, javascript, asp, php, etc.). Trust me, you will be a hot commodity if you do that because it is rare to have a person who can both design and code at a high level......Don't get me wrong, these people are out there, but not in abundance......

wow nilan, all that stuff that you're doing now sounds just like what i wish i had've done from the very beginning. i'll be graduating with my degree in IST, but my real desire is to do exactly what you're doing. do you think it's feasible for me to go ahead and get my degree in IST, and then go back to school and get the training for the stuff that i really want to do?? i have a little experience with programming, and with networking, and web design, and systems analysis, and building computers from scratch, but i haven't mastered any of those things yet. i'm still in the learning phase basically. what do you think?? i'd appreciate any advice that you can give me.

by the way, cool graphics Silvercosma. it's like a great big celebration in here. :D i'm really glad that everybody is so happy for us!

Well baby brother, Let me put it to you like this........The first thing that a lot of people don't tell you in college is that the number one thing that will get you your first job, your first big break, your foot in the door is NETWORKING. You must talk to people in the fields that interest you and you want to start joining organizations that you are interested in. I am part of about 2 organizations that cater to what I am interested in. I joined Gamasutra (www.gamasutra.com) because it is geared for those in 3D, animating, video game design, and stuff related to that. Another organization called AIGA,which stands for American Institution for Graphics Artists (www.aiga.com) is geared for those who are into graphic design, web design, flash design, and stuff of that nature. AIGA is "THA BOMB" but you have to pay $200 a year to get the REAL benefits of being a part of them. When you pay the fee. You get discounts on software and other perks. It lets you network with other people who are designers on the kind of radar map that lets you see who is in your field and people who are experienced. These people can help you get jobs that are not advertised yet. I am currently updating my own site and will show it to you sometime. ......
Anywho, until then, go and fulfill your dreams youngblood.......
You got the girl Alessandra (and a fine one she is too) now go and fulfill your destiny.
