I actually liked Herman Cain in the beginning. And I would have had a whole lot more respect for him if he had acknowledged his infidelity and apologized for it. Any time you're bent on a cover up, you immediately lose credibility. If you're going to lie to your wife, family, campaign staff and supporters before you take office, you will lie to the American people when you do, imo.

He never had any intention on becoming President.

He knew that he had a shitload of dirt in his past that would come out and harm him. What he did not plan for was being a front runner on the campaign trail, he figured he would always trail in the back until the primaries and drop out.

He knew if he stayed out of first place, no dirt will come out.

The plan was to get national attention to sell his book and maybe get a TV deal on FOX or a national sponsered conservative radio show like Rush Limbaugh.

Since he has decided to "suspend" his campaign, rather than end his campaign, Cain will continue to fund raise, self-promote, and (IMO) try to parlay whatever political influence he's built into an inner-circle appointment...

Maybe he'll team up with Donald Trump, Sarah Palin, or Kim Kardashian and do a reality show... I could suggest a few titles and story lines for him - "Let Me Spank That ", "Boardroom Booty", or "You Be the Judge".... LMBAO....

It is not surprising since it was mentioned yesterday and Cain's people are trying to deny it. When you see the face of Mrs.Cain it is a sign of relief that it is over and no question she will reap hell on him on putting her through this ordeal.

True, he also had his own radio show in ATL awhile back.

Subbin' aint like having your own show with your name up in lights with a big seven figure contract.

But one thing.......if that fool is picked to be on the next "Dancing with the Stars".......I'am leaving the country!

There was actually a story that came out yesterday suggesting, that despite being married 43 years, he's had several affairs, his wife knew and looked the other way, and they lived apart at times over the years. The article stated that he lived away from home, working most of the time. Apparently, his wife was unwilling to support him regarding this latest affair.

Yeah, I read about that this morning.

I think they had one of them marriages where they mutually agreed to stay with each other even though they could care less for each other.

Their marriage became a business decision and arrangement. They knew they could only succeed if they stayed together. If they divorced, they would lose everything they gained over the years.

Similiar to Bill and Hillary Clinton.

You brought it on yourself Cain. I can understand having a few skeletons in your closet, but not a damn graveyard.

Clinton was able to come back from similar charges of infidelity (Gennifer Flowers) in 1992. Cain's undoing was the sexual harassment charges, in addition to the fact that he simply isn't qualified to be the president of the United States. Bush has made it difficult for less intelligent candidates to rely on smiles and down home affability to win nominations and the presidency. Cain's retort that America "needs a leader not a reader" when exposed for the novice that he is on foreign policy was priceless.

It's really mission accomplished for Cain. His speaking fees have probably jumped 3 - 5 times higher than they were before he started. He's got his book out. For tea partiers like him who insist that "all government is the problem", it was curious that he was even "interested" in the biggest government job in the country.. Look for him to get a recurring TV spot on Fox news, also possibly a role as a "political consultant" for hire like Sarah Palin.

If the latest accuser, Ms. White, was paid by anybody, it could have been by Cain himself, to give him a convenient "exit" from the presidential race before any formal caucuses or primaries (where, unlike straw polls and others, these actually count)..

I read an article stating the same. I just wonder how long he thought he could survive the scrutiny that comes with running for the highest office in the land. IMO, he's already a qualified politician. His persistent denials prove that he can lie with the best politicians in Washington.

He's in "good" company if does move to Fox... Nobody involved in spinning their versions of the state of affairs has a problem with indiscretions of their "boy's club"...

And Cain is laughing all the way to bank...
