These guys have been successfully recruiting westerners for years with their violence, beliefs and grudges

There's always two sides to a story and while killing non combatants is generally wrong, I see why they'd resort to it from a militaristic standpoint. It either devastates morale and breeds internal protest against war, or galvanizes the resolve of a government and it's population (as seen with 9/11 and the explosion of patriotism)

As stated before, we've been killing civilians forever....sometimes by accident and other times with malicious intent (refer to the company-level Vietnam incident or Haditha in a previous post)

It's only a matter of time before enemy warfighters do the same to us or our allies

I've just had this same discussion on a facebook debates group, all of us in the UK take a slanted view of history from where we stand.

We've forced our Christian way of life down the throats of many and over the years have not been above a massacre ourselves, yes it's history but you have to own it and accept that others views of it won't be quite so understanding.

Terrorists are the scum of the earth of course.

But when I saw we had accidentally (quotey fingers) bombed a village of children and wiped them out, because we thought someone was hiding there.
I thought, what must they think of us? because I'd think we were f***ing monsters.

Children digging a hole shot! but justifiable because it could possibly be something sinister, we've crossed the moral line long ago and it's all ok, because we do it in an official military capacity.
