My guess was Louisiana before I even clicked the link. My mom went to school with soooo many 'white' Black folk it's kind of hard to believe unless you see her HS yearbook or attend family gatherings.
Very interesting but makes sense, I wonder how many people have black in them but don't know or don't want to talk about it. I know for a while Megan Fox thought she had some black in her but then found out she probably didn't probably have any.
I'm at the point there are White people walking around with a Black great-grandparent, etc, but should still be classified as White. If it wasn't for this country's racist legacy, we wouldn't be trying to label someone 1/16th Black....Black. It would be same as having a distant Italian relative, part of the mix but not dominant among all the other people and ethnicities who make up your personal history.
Some Black classified themselves as White in Brazil but,that did not work since the Whites see your face and then treat you like you are Black.
