How do download a new browser or whatever they're called? I downloaded IE8 (it was a while ago and I don't remember how I did it) and I want to keep it because of the Accelerator thing. But it's messin' me up on other things so I want to download another whatever for my other things. Also does anyone have any suggestions about which thingy/browser/whatever is the best?

I like Firefox better. They're 1)safer and 2) faster when it comes to playing Myspace app games

You can go to www.download.com or www.cnet.com .
Both sites let you type in whatever computer related program you are looking for and show you a list of matches.Pick the one you want and it will let you download it after clicking on it.It's easy and quick

Thanks, I'm installing FireFox. It asked me if I want to Import Options, Bookmarks, History, Passwords and other data. What does that mean? Do I want to?

Those will copy over any settings you have in IE. So if you'd like to have the same bookmarks, for instance, in Firefox that you have in IE, then say "yes."

Okay, that's what I thought and just wanted to be sure :) Thank you!

Uh oh, it says "Firefox could not install this item because of a failure in Chrome Registration. Please contact the author about this problem." What'd I do?

That's weird. Did the entire browser install fail, or just one part?

Okay, I googled your error message.

Here's one solution I found online (dunno if it works, haven't tested it myself):

Other sites online seem to agree with this solution:

I don't know. The browser is on my desktop and I was able to go into it and use it for what I want it for. I haven't installed the flash player plug in though and don't want to mess with that because I don't really need it anyway and I don't trust myself with installing things. I just wanted to be able to send gifts on a couple of MySpace apps so that I can save abandoned animals/pets and the rainforest :D AND IT WORKED!! and I'm happy, so it's cool. I think my brother will be coming over some time and I'll make him make sure that I didn't screw anything up and see if he can fix it so it's everything it's supposed to be. But for now, I'll just keep with IE8 and then go on FireFox when I can send "gifts" again. :)

Nothing important. Gives you more privileges, mostly.

Running as an administration mean that your window login account has
most important rights (create , edit , delete files , and perform importance changes on your machine) .
You can check your account privileges in your control panel --> User accounts (if you are in windows Xp).

Btw , the Internet explorer is a windows component ... You should be able
to reverse that IE8 installation. Let me know if it is case.
