That performance tonight made me cringe. Hell, I dozed off on the sofa watching and had to catch the highlights. Bummer. Come on Heat!
Can't happen no way. Someone is gonna have to take a pay cut and none of their wives are going for that.
Imo..That's Miami's problem, too much individual basketball and not enough team play. Not to mention, that would be some serious "stacking" with all that All-Star power on one team. They would have to lose some big time players to land that kind of deal. I hope the league pays close attention if Miami thinks "stacking" is going to solve their problems.
It seems like the Heat have softened up playing in that weak ass Eastern Conference. In the previous years, they had some competition on their way to the Finals. Right now the Eastern Conference is garbage but ultimately you have to give the Spurs credit for playing "lights out" basketball. No one expected them to perform at such a high level in this Final round. Lastly, Kobe Bryant may very well be the last player to see a Threepeat for at least the next 10 years.
Too many superstars on one team isn't going to help them at all...too much fan fare and not enough work as a team...spurs speed make Miami look like they are standing still...it is not even fun to watch blowouts like that
Bosh has indicated he might be willing to take less. D-Wade has said "no way", but given his knees, perhaps a nice retirement package would be preferable. I have to say that, given their age, I was shocked by how quickly the Spurs were moving on the floor.
I just read an article that the big three for Miami can opt out of their individual contracts in order to resign and take a pay cut...this would make room for carmelo...i know that carmelo is chasing a ring but at some point he is going to have to settle in and build a team...not just show up hoping that it will happen...chemistry takes time...
