well, my dad didn't live with us most of my childhood but during my first year of middle school he moved in with my mom, sister, and i. he used to get really mad about little things and from time to time would take it out on my mom and i. i remember this one time he lifted me up by my hair and threw me onto a couch, where he hit me until my lil sister walked in and screamed.
i can take a physical beating but what really hurt was that my mom was in the room the whole time watching and didnt say a word.
i also hated that i had to stay home from school with my prick-of-a-father until my facial bruises were light enough to be coved by make-up.

my most recent ex hit me while we were in the car one time. he didnt give two sh!ts about it until he realized that i bruised easily and begged me to tell people that i fell or something..wow, i'm glad that relationship ended

my ex when convicted for it said in his country it was allowed to beat ur wife ( used to hit me if someone had disrespected him when he was out )

the judge bought his story of not knowing its illegal in this county ( despite him being here for 9 years by that point ) and gave him the mickey mouse sentence of £250 fine ( this was for 4 assults on me, one of them caused internal bleeding and 1 assult on my child ) the judicial system here sucks
