Has/is anyone scared that their kid might not look anything like them?

That may be because he's a boy LS. Most people tell me that my daughter really favors me, and that they instantly know we belong to the same family, but rarely do they do that with my son. After looking at him for a bit though they see the resemblance, which is odd as he and I share several characteristics that I'd think would make it obvious that he's my kid.

 

Yeah, I think you're right there. As Jacob's getting older I see him looking less like me though. When he was a baby he looked just like I did, both bald as hell with big dark eyes. One thing I find funny is when people see him and my little brother they assume they're brothers. :smt042 My mum does get flattered that people don't think she's the grandma.

I'm not sure what you look like so I can't comment of your son looking like you but your son's a handsome young guy (I love the red in his hair, too cool) and your daughter is absolutely stunning.

 

I understand why your Mom likes not being seen as grandma LOL. I'm the same way anytime someone asks if my daughter and I are sisters. I don't know of any woman over the age of 21 who doesn't like being considered younger than she is.

I think both my children resemble me, and I think most people could tell they're mine. For what it's worth, there are some people here who have seen me, and several commented that there is a resemblance, but it's more noticeable with my daughter.

 

Nah, I was more scared of kids coming out ugly. Actually I anticipated it, glad that wasn't the case. My oldest son is a mirror image of me, my youngest only slightly...So I joke that I want a paternity test from Wife which makes her mad.

 

If my kids turn out looking like both me and my nate then they'll be some dam fine lookin' kids. All I really care about is that when I am blessed with children that they're happy, healthy, and safe. Anything beyond that is added bonus.
