So then how do you explain hispanics who can come to this country and make something out of themselves. They have negative music too and have less of an ethnic identity in this country yet they manage to pull it together. I'm sorry but I don't buy that the music made me do it excuse. I get that we don't have the same culturally identity as whites do but other groups manage to come here and make something out of themselves. No matter how much you want to blame the music it boils down to parenting pure and simple. I was allowed to listen to rap or watch Mtv till I was fourteen and I didn't because my mom always had a belt in hand and when I didn't want to listen to her my dad had a bigger one. Its all parenting people. Raise your kids right and more often you get a good kid.

Damn fam just let it go already. Hip hop is not all bad. As a community black people focus on it too much? Yes. But this country is entertainment obsessed

    Thank you brudda .

How many young brothers have become millionaires and got off the streets because of this rap shit ?

How many young brothers have heard people like 2pac and turned their life around and stopped the madness. ?

But because rap is a black artform I guess it was doomed at the very beginning
    smh
