Man,that commercial does not lie. Ford is going after blonds and it is less likely he would be in higher office any time soon.
If there's a reason why he's no longer in consideration for higher office it's his politics not his choice in women.
You don't see a lot of brothers in high office marrying or dating WW. The conservatives don't even vote for their house slaves for Senator.
Damn, i know!!! This guy should just forget about his political career. He lives in the fucking South so don't nobody doubt me on this one.
I'm referring to the fact that Ford has basically exposed himself as fake Democrat recently. The guy is about as legitimately liberal as Joe Lieberman is these days. His old district in Tennessee (or rather his father's old district) is pretty solidly blue, so they would have reelected the guy in perpetuity if he hadn't run for the Senate whether he married a white woman or not. I just think (hope) that Ford and the other "centrist" Dems will become more and more obsolete.
Sorry, man, but the only way Democrats (especially a black Democrat) wins elections in that part of the South is when they are more right-leaning. Democrats have to prove themselves down there more than Republicans do. Ford came close to beating the odds (and lets not forget the odds were against him when he started his campaign) because his views were similiar to most of the people who live in that state (Memphis not included!). Thatt being said his chances of getting elected for anything down there now is almost zero. Hell, he'd have a tough time winning in california! Because even if a majority of white voters in Cali ignored the woman he chose to marry, you can sure bet most black voters wouldn't.
First of all I'm talking about liberals/Democrat politicians, not Republicans. That's why I didn't bother to bring up the obstacles Republicans have to overcome. Taht being said when it comes to presedential elections the majority of voters in California and Rhode Islad will vote for people of different parties from all different regions of the country. The same can not be said of people in southern states like Tennessee. In fact if you're a Democrat running for president you will never get the electoal votes of a southern state unless you're actually from the south (and even then its by a very slim margin). No other region in the countryhas people nearly as fixated in voting for one of "their own" as the South. I could go on and on discussing the insecurities and the bitterness passed down through generations of those folks (mind you my family originally comes from the South) but I won't bother. They will expand their horizons for non-Southern republican presidential candidates of course but only in certain circumstances and for certain candidates. I never wrote he would win the majority votes of white Californians. I wrote "even if' he did (playing devil's advocate), he would still lose the black vote. Nonetheless if I had to take a bet which state he had the best chance of securing the white vote I would take California (or even a Republican-leaning state like Maine) over a state like Tennessee.
Ken Blackwell got it coming since he was the one who moved the polling places in the wrong areas during the 04 election which made Bush won a second term especially the Black districts. Steele, on the other hand is one real house slave not as nutty like Allen Keyes but still a house slave. About Cali Tom Bradley ran for Governor and lost twice in spite of the fact he made LA financially in the black after the 84 Olympic Games. That and the election in Washington State made me wary of the election of Obama for President.
Oh I forgot Sir Charles Barkley who was a Republican and planning to run for Governor of the state of Alabama. He saw the light when those White GOP members did not like his current White wife. Barkley became a Democrat but I doubt he would ever be governor of Alabama.
