tomorrow (aug 11) is me and the hubby's one-year wedding anniversary. yay!! i can't believe it's already been a year - time flies so fast! just wanted to share my joy!
And here's an inspirational true story for you. "Just prior to WWII, a young couple living in Krakow, Poland, was very much in love, so they got engaged. After the war broke out, the Nazis sent out the two of them to separate concentration camps. Somehow, they both managed to survive those horrific years and were eventually liberated by the Allies. Shortly after, the man was in a food line with hundreds of other survivors when he spotted a woman in another food line. His heart began racing, his eyes welled up with tears, and he ran over to her, calling out her name. It was his fiancee. Needless to say, the two were overjoyed beyond words. The couple went for a long walk to catch up on all those lost and painful years. Eventually, they came upon an empty house. The girl needed to go to the bathroom, so they went inside. Her fiance became quite concerned when, after a long time, she still hadn't come out of the bathroom. He went and knocked on the door to see if she was okay. There was no reply. Then he heard sobs. He banged on the door and begged her to open it. She finally did. He asked her why she was crying, why she had refused to come out of the bathroom. She wiped away her tears and told him that this was the first time she had seen herself in a mirror in many years. She was aghast at the sight of herself - all skin and bones, gaunt, pale, and sickly. How could he possibly still love her? The young man held her tightly and said, "Right now, you are the most beautiful woman in the world to me." At first, she couldn't understand why. He explained that he hadn't even noticed how she looked physically when he first saw her in the food line. Instead, he saw her soul shining, her light and energy radiating from the very essence of her being. That was how he had first recognized her."
That couple has a movie in the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC. It is one of the most romantic stories I have ever heard in my life. After the horrors of the museum it was so nice to see something uplifting.

Thanks. I love pictures. It's in Wayne county, WV. Called East Lynn Lake. I grew up not far from there, so I've been often over the years, though that day was nice because it was rainy, so we had like..the entire park to ourselves, almost. As you can see, no one was out on the lake there, and usually the thing is full of boats. Do the heels. Definitely. Oh yes.
