Who is the 'Lee Greenwood' of Oz whose song made Aussies proud of their country?

I predict lots of young, black American cubs will be throwing their hats into the ring.

Now that I think about it, the Winking Cougar would be a pretty cool name for a bar lol. Someone should make that happen!

Every year in Philadelphia, we have descendents of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence come and touch the Liberty Bell, and they are given a replica of the Bell as a memento...

What's beautiful about it is how diverse their faces are today :smt050... a solid rainbow... from Black, to Asian to White. America's forefathers - their ancestors - would be so proud!

I did not know Lee Greenwood did another version for Canada. I learn something everyday.

Lee Greenwood's song Proud To Be An American is an enduring classic. I heard it first in the 80's. I heard it again in the 90's during Desert Storm(even heard it played by an organist on a tv church program). I heard it again after 9/11. He had other songs(he sung a song at the end of the film Delta Force 2:Operation Stronghold with Chuck Norris. I forgot the name of the song but the music was written by the film's composer Frederick Talgorn. Talgorn was also known for his score for the film Robot Jox. Lee Greenwood will continue to make a mint with this one song.

And to all the women and men that serve in the military, thank you for making this country safe, where I, as another nationality, can come and work and find a home in peace. Thank you for your service.

    Much love.

Not so happy for a family tonight. A teenager just got shot in the head at a party a block from my job. Sad.

Man, that's sad. Officials down here were asking people not to fire celebratory shots(or if they do, make sure they're firing blank ammunition) on the 4th of July or New Year's.
