http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/07/nypd-brutality_n_5944736.html?utm_hp_ref=black-voices My civil rights have been violated just looking at this story Not the first this happened either....
What a shame, I don't think I can take much more of these types of stories. Since the system and people that perpetuate it in a negative light seem ever poised against minorities, I don't think it would be a bad idea to develope social guidelines to help keep safe. i.e. Curfew before dark, walking with adults, becoming better versed with our rights, pushing civic careers, becoming more collective again (vs individual) and other similar measures. Almost preservationist since the perpetrators obviously aren't going to change. Does this sound crazy?
No but unfortunately in the me me me culture even those who are oppressed will feel like they can do it alone.
I'm just amazed that more and more stories are coming out even after the worldwide protest of ferguson It's like certain cops still think they're above the law This is more proof that a federal mandate for police body cameras needs to happen If these incidents are being captured by pure luck on random cameras, imagine what's happening outside of view
LOL I know right I guess that's the silver lining in this story Fact remains tho that many people do not wish to be the subject of police corruption and brutality, since there is a good chance that the cop will get away with what they done For every person getting a prompt fat payday, there's others who don't get jack shit
I'm about to start an underground movement/club, get a bunch of people pointed in one direction. I can only imagine. Definitely need those personal monitoring devices. I would too, he's lucky he's alive though, that gun could've gone off under chin or whatever angle that was terminal. On a sidenote; I just saw an Ameritrade commercial with a black guy sitting at a computer, looked just like you.
Like my late uncle Albert once told me, "The money makes you pretty. You don't have to be a super good looking person. But if you got a lot of money and people know it, you are the most desirable person. That money makes you pretty." I believe that my uncle Albert told the truth because even unattractive people who are rich can attract beautiful people. If you get beaten up without reason or provocation by a cop, survive said incident and it is seen on video, get the best attorney you can to sue the pants out of the officer and the department.
Keyword After the cops said a suspect committed suicide while handcuffed in a squad car, I don't take shit for granted
Oh, make me wanna holler And throw up both my hands Trigger happy policing Panic is spreading God knows where, where we're heading Oh, they don't understand Make me wanna holler
LOL Yeah, I guess that would make her the default option. They aren't exactly the best example of what Gorath's uncle was talking about; they're more like proof that what his uncle said isn't true.
I don't know...look at Donald Sterling in that picture. "It must be his money 'cause it ain't his face..."
It is the money, not the looks. To Donald Sterling's mistress(or any woman on the make), Sterling's money makes him attractive. It's what they can get from that person. And I'm sure that Ms. Stiviano benefitted from her association with Sterling.
I don't know the whole story .. and the little bits I heard of her speaking after the media frenzy, well, ... she sounded stupid. But I choose to believe the myth of the woman I heard on the tapes ... the woman who recorded and exposed the mouth that fed her ... the woman who single-handedly shook the nation into talking about the elephant in the room ...
