I was looking to see what hand people are most comfortable using. I've always been curious about hand dominance.

Technically I'm left-handed (as far as writing goes)...but I'm probably cross dominant.

Left hand = writing, throwing football/baseball, bowling, shooting a rifle, eating, brushing my teeth, shaving, swinging a baseball bat

Right hand = playing pool, picking up objects, shooting a handgun (i'm really talking about paintball guns) shooting/dribbling a basketball, opening a door, tossing a dart, vaccuming the house, using a remote, boxing, swinging a tennis racket

Both sides = swinging a golf club

    I am ambidextrous.

Right hand: writing, bowling, throwing a ball, serving in volleyball, picking things up.

Left hand: writing, texting (that's a big one for me, I do it all the time), swinging a baseball bat (I can do either right-handed or left-handed, but I feel more comfortable doing that left-handed), mini-golf (I don't golf-golf. ), picking things up, and when I drive, I usually drive one-handed and it's my left hand that I steer with.

Im right handed here. I havent really paid much attention to what things I do with my left hand but I will pay attention the next few days and get back at this thread.

Like typing on this keyboard I do with both of my hands. The hand thats closer to a key I use to press it

    I'm left handed.

Whether it's writing, bowling, knife control on my dinner plate, teeth brushing, phone holding, dictionary word pointer, lead hand when tying shoe laces, door opener, light switch flicker, more fingers used when typing, channel surfing, refrigerator opening, etc..., the left hand is king for me.

So, newpowermoves, do you find that you're more artistic because you're left-handed.

    I'm just curious.... :D

Does anyone know how the idea of left-handedness being "evil" got started?

How is it that when I answer a question correctly...people say that I am "right?"....Why not "left?"

And for the simplest question of all.....how is a Republican "right" leaning and a Democrat "left" leaning?

what kind of guitar do ya have?

i have a blue and white ibanez that i practice on, sometimes..

I like trying to play along to my favorite rock songs

    oh yeh..i'm right handed

    :)

however, one thing i noticed during martial arts (from Tae kwon Do anyway), is that you learn how to fight from both sides. Even if you're right handed, you're still expected to be able to fight from a southpaw stance (jabbing with the right and throwing harder punches with the left..same with the kicks..and yes, you do learn how to throw a proper punch, because lots of tournaments have different rules, and punching can be used to score points..plus good instructors like to make sure you know how to handle yourself in a street fight)

so..i guess i can use both sides of my brain afterall..even though my left handed writing looks like scribble.

I have a Schector Diamond 006 Series Deluxe and a Yamaha Pacifica. I enjoy playing instrumentals more than music with lyrics. I'm not good but I enjoy the challenge. At least you practice sometimes. I need to dust mine off.
