Here's a short clip of the upcoming (next summer) Will Smith/Charlize Theron flick, Hancock. http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/hancock/ The Kid Rasta 8)
He went from rapper in Philly to big time hollywood actor that people flock to see....that's my man late edit - just watched the trailer for the movie....looks pretty funny, lol.
after reading the plotline for the movie Hancock, on IMDB, it appears that Charlize and Will will get into some sort of relationship (intimate, friendly, not specified). So, there is a good chance that you may seem them kissing or making out on the big screen.
I said good chance...not an excellent chance... will and charlize's relationship ties into the movie's plot... it's not like a talented black actor has never made out with an equally talented ( ok, maybe she's not as great as drawing big crowds as will, but she's had some good roles before) and sought after white actress before, on the big screen... jungle fever, anyone?? if you got cable, you may be able to watch one of spike lee's classics on demand.
A hard-living superhero (Smith) who has fallen out of favor with the public enters into a questionable relationship with the wife (Theron) of the public relations professional (Bateman) who's trying to repair his image. I wouldn't get too excited considering her character is married.
and since when has being married stopped brothas from having affairs with white girls, on-screen, in the past?? Wesley was married when he tapped Anabella Scoria...(spelling??) He was also married when he tapped Natasha Kinski, who was also married I think, in another movie.. Even tho she would be married in Hancock...I do not know if that would be enough to prevent Will from having some sort of affair with her..that would add more SPICE and controversy to the movie, which in turn, generates big BUCKS
I mentioned months ago to folks here that there is a certain limitation you can go with that on-screen relationship considering Theron's character is married. In America in a big blockbuster/family oriented film that is a sure way to make your hero and leading lady unsympahetic if they have an affair and the husband being cheated on, from all accounts, is a good guy. And that's not even bringing into the equation the racial element. That being said the film is still described as a romantic comedy, always has been. The teaser didn't get too much into that and maybe that's a smart move. But based upon all I've read the relationship angle is still in play with some very heated and angry exchanges between Smith and Theron's characters. Also it should be pointed out that at first she objects to her husband working with Smith's character at first because she doesn't like him. So its probably one of those initial antagonist-fighting attraction type of deals intially (sexual tension). Anyway below is a link to one of the writeups that include brief info about the film.: http://www.mensvogue.com/arts/movies/articles/2007/12/will_smith
VitaminB don't forget Wesley may had even tapped that female co star in Drop Zone. The kiss on that last scene was cut.
I remember "drop zone" i remembered the part where Wesley clocked the shiet out of that girl after they landed lol.... he always has IR affairs in his movies.. On another note, I seen the first IR scene between a white cartoon character and a black one on this show called "Ginger." I think it comes on Nickelodean (spelling), a kid-themed cable channel... really progressive to show IR dating in cartoon shows geared towards younger children [/end thread hijack]
Oh I agree, I'm just not going to hold out as much hope as I would if her character were single. But then again, it does say that they have an inappropriate relationship....
There is a major spoiler going around saying she is the villian in the movie which would be very possible the way will smith character is which I would not doubt in this movie. 8)
