Do any of you have a favorite sci-fi or horror film that you like to watch on Halloween?

I watched the 1931 Dracula with Bela Lugosi and the Spanish version(arguably, the best version).

Night Of The Demon/Curse Of The Demon.

Drag Me To Hell(a thinly disguised remake of Night Of The Demon/Curse Of The Demon.

    John Carpenter's The Thing.

    Howard Hawks' The Thing(1951).

    To name a few...

I'm a bit of a art snob but Carpenter's version of The Thing is one of my favorite films of all time. My father took me to see it during its original run and have loved it ever since.

John Carpenter's Thing, to me, is probably his best film since the first Halloween and The Fog, also a scary masterpiece with the themes of deception and revenge.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003 version. I actually watch that movie every night for years. Same with the 2006 version.
    Child's Play 2
    Candyman

We watched Lost Boys last night, it doesn't hold up but I admire the era when people were suppose to be scared of vampires and not falling in love with them.

30 Days of Night. The only movie IMO that portrays vampires how they should be : inhuman monsters that only wear the shell of their former humanity.

The Wolfman (2010). More atmospheric than scary for me. Loved how the men of science & logic treated Talbot Jr. as if his condition were a mental illness and tried to "cure" him then paid the price for that bit of hubris.

That was what I loved about 30 Days Of Night. These vampires were straight up monsters. Nothing romantic about them; and that was a good thing.

I thought The Wolfman was set up well and explored the Talbot family. In the classic film House of Dracula(1943), Larry Talbot is fully cured of his lycanthropic curse. I guess the new film tried to use that but instead became a total failure. The scene with the man running into a bog trying to get away but not sinking fast enough before the Wolfman gets to him was kind of funny.

    LOL

    seriously

This whole vampire love craze started with Buffy, when Angel used to make her wet between the legs

Now vampires are studs with six packs that used to model for Abercrombie, that can't wait to nail some homely, buck tooth human

I'm gunna fuck you, then I'm gunna eat ya

That original idea started with a movie about farmers, but people were still shell shocked after 'deliverance'

    Squeal, boy, squeal!
