    MY TAKE
Though I may not agree with his political views, and he comes off as being an asshole (which he is), I wish him well. But he'll need to learn to take control of his weight and this is one problem arrogance can't solve.

I bet Mike Huckebee is talking to him either as I type this or later on to lose his weight.

    Does weight cause Asthma?

And I hope he understands how many people dont have the luxury of doctors to help them without insurance.

This epiphany happened to the former NJ Gov when he got in that car accident. He realized...everyone needs access to medical care...after it.

I'm sure they are Chunk Buddies. After all, they have a lot in common...though Huckabee come off as being likable.

If you're overweight, you're more likely to develop respiratory problems. So yeah, asthma does come with it. And to be honest, Kuno, after his response to a caller about him taking his kids to private schools and cutting funding for public education, I think his opinion remains unchanged:

    "WHO CARES!?"

I have never liked him because he "threw his weight around" and got himself out of trouble...

"If you drove the wrong way down a one-way street, causing an accident and putting the victim in a trauma center, would you get away without a ticket? Chris Christie did," the announcer says. "If you were caught speeding in an unregistered car- would you get away without points? Chris Christie did."

"In both cases, Christie threw his weight around as US Attorney and got off easy," the announcer adds, later adding a slogan that's popped up lately in Corzine's ads: "Chris Christie. One set of rules for himself. Another for everyone else."

I'm all too familiar with his one-way mentality. And his approval rating went downhill faster than him scarfing down two meat patties lodged in his rectum.

But he still won the election.

I'm referring to now. His re-election won't be until another good 3-4 years if I'm not mistaken so we'll see if he can do something other than cut and grow heavier.

People generally like his abrasive attitude, so that would be the only strong. But so far, what effort has he done to improve the state. Even my Governor is fairing better than him with a 77% approval rating and I personally think he's a long shot.

I think he's a compassionate guy...somewhat. I would actually feel sorry for him if he keeled over.

His approval may have only gone down because of the Unions issue. But he gained many new fans on a national level, hence why he is being touted to by Romney to run as his VP, after Chris turned down the GOP's begging him to run as POTUS.

Of course. But the Union issue isn't the only thing. I've pointed out some other reasons...all of which are personal. However, everything will depend on how the economy is running in New Jersey and if it shows some slight increases, then he'll remain as such.

Besides, he's not about his policies which makes him well known on the national level. It's more to do with his tough talk attitude and that's what draw people to him.

Yeah, kinda Palin-ish. Act tough and they go gaga. Even if you're a dumb ass.

Not that Christie is, but Palin sure is.

If there is one thing about Christie is that he's no dummy. I have to give him that. But he served as a District Attorney in NJ before assuming the role of Governor, so that part I can understand why he's the way he is.

Of course, his only competition would be Cory Booker should he run against him. Although he's only been Mayor of Newark, Booker's gain considerable attention for tackling crime and successfully done so. Even with budget cuts and lay offs, he managed to maintain a strong law presence.

I like Booker. Was introduced to him about 3 years ago when I watched a pbs FRONTLINE documentary on his detractor who tried to strong-arm him out of politics. It was fascinating because it was old school politics vs new age. His opponent behaved liked a mobster. I was elated when I learned Booker eventually got the last laugh. (Have to look for it...you'd love it)

    I found it!

    Synopsis

Street Fight covers the turbulent campaign of Cory Booker, a 32-year old Rhodes Scholar/Yale Law graduate running for mayor of Newark, N.J. against Sharpe James, the four-term incumbent twice his age. An urban David and Goliath story, the film chronicles the young man's struggle against the city's entrenched political machine, which routinely uses strong-arm tactics to hold onto power. The battle sheds light on important questions about democracy, power, poverty and race. When the mayor accuses the Ivy League-educated challenger of not being "really black," the campaign forces voters to examine how we define race in America.

Try to watch it...I was infuriated, but like I said..he finally did it! :D

Then you, my dear, need to watch this documentary called Brick City. It chronicles the day to day job of Mayor Booker and his means to bring down crime in Newark. It comes on Sundance or IFC. Either way, you MUST watch!!!!

That part in bold...really gets to me sometimes. If I were running for political office against another black person (be it with a D, R, or I attached), I would never make those asinine accusations because it's demeaning the character of not just the person directed towards, but yourself. And more so, credibility has been shot.
