Hey shion good post but by way I am familiar with Brotha Clay and his gold medal win this past summer in China. As a matter of fact he was in the news not too long ago for complaining about not getting enough props for being the "world's greatest athlete" which is what the winner of the decathlon is generally considered. Clay spoke at the Republican Party this year..maybe that had something to do with it. He's right..he didn't get the accolades..but neither did Bolt or any of the gymnasts....so....couldn't tell ya. I was just about to mention that.. I remember Dan O'Brien, who was a decathlon athlete. His name was thrown around a bit back in the 90s. Phelps did get the attention tho, like ya'll said.
